Feeling post-series depression :( because it was so good

I finished watching this series 20 days ago and I'm still not over how good it was. When the first episode dropped, I was searching for a new series to watch. I saw the trailer for this series and immediately was intrigued by the storyline. I watched the first half of the episode and was hooked. I really wanted to wait for all the episodes to drop so I could binge-watch, but I could not stay away from the storyline. Every day, I was waiting for the new episodes to drop.

The storyline is something that is not new in the big scheme of things. it’s a love story of a CEO and employee, or enemies-to-friends-to-lovers. But what was new to me is the VR world that the main leads first meet each other in. The way it was written was so good, how the VR world connected into the real storyline. I loved how all the characters had a persona of their own, and it really felt like watching two people slowly fall in love. All in all i recommend everyone looking for a feel good love story with a bit more depth to watch this series.

It felt unnecessary

Watching this felt really unnecessary. The movie (part 1 of the storyline) felt like a complete end. I still wanted to watch this in hope it had a good story but it felt really short on all ends. The fight scenes were really unrealistic all the time, him winning eventhough his opponent was way bigger/ stronger/ better at fighting. While watching you also really felt like it was supposed to be a movie turned into a small serie which again felt weird since the first part was a movie. The acting/actors were good though, some part of the serie felt of, as in scenes that were suddenly very light/fluffy without any reason, in my opinion.
Also the end scene was a bit confusing so i still hope for another part so i can know how it ends.

Good but not amazing

It's an okey movie, the main character has some good developments in the movie. and it has a satisfying ending. Some of the fight scenes are long/unrealistic, but overall it was a fun watch. I really like the main character and his attitude to certain things. Like the not giving up during a fight, but still not really wanting to fight as he would rather just live a peaceful life. I really like the second lead (the mentor guy), I felt like he was kinda in the jail just doing his own thing and then he was like you know what I like this kid and then he is like jupp no one touch him he is mine. Which was cute. Also with the little info we had of him I felt like he was in the jail unjustly but maybe that is just my interpretation of the small info we got.

This was a very confusing special episode to watch. The recap of the series was so long that I started to think I was just watching a quick overview of the entire show all over again.

The story made no sense at all. It suddenly shifted to the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the two boys were just living somewhere else even though they should have been in school. No one in the story seemed to have any common sense, like reporting the fact that the boys had stopped attending classes. There were also random shootings by military and SWAT officers that felt out of place. And the dad of Hero just being power hungry, like i get that those situation happen in different countries but he was just getting worse, and it just started pissing me off.

But what annoyed me the most, however, was the total lack of character development. Usually, a special episode shows the characters getting married or living 'happily ever after,' but this just repeated the same problems from the series without offering any solutions or a satisfying ending.

If you like the other adaptions of 'Are you addicted?' you will probably also like this one. However for me this is my least favorite addaption. The storyline/acting falls just a bit short for me, which makes the rewatch value low. However if you like the other versions i would still say watch this one, because everyone can have a different feel about it, and the story and feelings created by the story are still the same.
