They sure pulled on our heart strings - I loved both Wung and Ba bi and was scared to root for either in the last 2 episodes since I just didn’t know who she would end up with. With the way it ended I was sad to have to imagine her with yet another guy, sigh. Feels like double second male lead syndrome 😩 I found I really wanted it to be Ba bi

I broke my ‘no tear jerker’ rule but I had no choice, once I started watching I couldn’t stop. So sad but so beautiful 🌹🌹🌹

It’s a lovely series, definitely worth watching. But it depends on how objective you can be when it comes to second male lead syndrome, lol! I know everyone’s rooting for the ML and that’s absolutely normal, i think he’s awesome too and I would’ve joined them if the SML had been someone else 😅. It’s too hard for me not to take the SML’S side because he’s getting a lot of hate when he’s just as much in love with her and changed for her. And he’s Bae In Hyuk sooo I’m biased! I’m only up to episode 14 so I don’t know how it’s going to turn out. Either way it’s a great series and I do love it, just wanted better for Bae. I get that FL loves someone else and that’s fine but it’s hard to see the SML suffer

Loved the series from the get go for all the same reasons as most, but all bets were off when I discovered Bae In hyuk was the SML. I switched sides just like that. No shame

I never did find out if that paint dried, 3 attempts and I still can’t finish Goblin. Maybe one day I’ll get it lol

Agreed - especially about their chemistry. They both played their roles beautifully and it’s sweet and all but I just couldn’t feel the feels between them despite the many declarations of said feels. It’s a wonderful series, rarely a dull moment but I’m perplexed as to why I’m just not invested in them. I would’ve switched over to a different series but Bae in hyuk 😍

Yesss, I love Gene most when Up shows up here and there, bringing sassy adorableness to Gene’s usual grumpy but cute personality! He’s too precious - Nubsib is awesome, absolutely adore him but I gotta say Gene was my star from day one!

For me the final episode was awesome, I’m still smiling despite seeing the upset comments. Yes it left a lot hanging but I didn’t care, they took us on a was wacky and playful fun ride, after all the heavies and tearful moments of the last episodes they wanted to leave us with a different but lovely non-cliché ending - they were having fun with it and I was happy to play along :). And about the real author cameo at the end, I thought it was sweet! And for me her appearance seemed to be a final message to shippers - that this beautiful, beautiful series is just that - a series - just to remind us not to go shipping Kao and Up after this, they’re actors and this was a fictional show - which is what the whole series was trying to say all along. They seemed to be sending this message across by looking directly at the camera during the cosplay moments to show they were performing for the rapt audience that we are. I thought it was cleverly done and lots of fun. Besides, all those hanging questions leave room for a season 2 which I want very very very much! I don’t know how I shall go on without my loveliest Gene and adorable Nubsib from now on! Where’s that vial Nubsib drank?
