I’m in the middle of nowhere right nowAt first I wanted them to be together and felt so bad for Muey but as…
I enjoy when the storyline has the guy who did in fact have feelings for the female lead all along but didn't realize it. But this just seems like he just has to love her back, not because he is really in love with her too but only because she loves him so much. I hope the vibe changes a bit, I wanted them together at first too...now it seems a bit unfair to him, that people are trying to force him to love her.
This was a crazy, fast paced, over dramatic, kinda low budget drama, with all types of drama tropes drama. It also left me with a lot of questions, as some stuff seemed almost pointless. And yet I kinda liked it, Storyline was all over the place for a 10 episode drama, but I'm kinda glad I gave it a chance.
Really a great drama, a lot of plot twist and unpredictable. I still wonder why everyone including Sunwoo's friend…
The original BBC version explains better "why" it seems like they are all on his side. Basically thats his small hometown where he grew up. Those are all his friends and his wife only met them all through being married to him. So their "loyalty" is more so with him since they all grew up together even if they do really like his wife. Thats why it was kind of a big deal when he had to move away and why it was important for him to move back. Thats his "home".
I think this is probably my least favorite version., and I've watched the original and all other remakes.. 30 min episodes aren't quite enough for this storyline, especially not the way this was done. The pacing was really off, with them rushing through some moments and then slowing down a bit for others. I also didn't feel that any real chemistry between any of the leads. I think this could have benefitted from 45min-1 hour long episodes. It also ended a bit odd, like others said I would expect a season 2 since it it didn't tell the whole story.
*Also wanted to make a note that I love Jdramas, and how short they normally are. I just think this one wasn't done so well, especially if you have seen the original and any of the remakes. This one is a bit lacking all around.
I just finished Love Better Than Immortality and felt it had the same type of light, funny vibe throughout most of it. I actually thought of this while I was watching it.
