I didn't read the novel so I don't know much about that. I'm not comparing novel to the book, but honestly, they didn't have enough screentime, especially CalvinJay. They had like 5 scenes together in whole drama.
Ramil ans Paytay did love each other. We could see this from their first appearence.
I could tell it was set in 21th century, but honestly, I understand Khanin's reaction when he firts saw his new wardrobe. That was my very same reaction for whole 14 weeks.
It had a plot, I know, but aarrghh I can't explain myself. It was not as good as it could be. I understand why people like it, ZeeNunew hae great chemistry, JimmyOhm and NetJJ the same, they are all great actors, but this story just lack something... And my reaction can't be caused by high expectations because I didn't even want to watch this, but I saw an edit where Nunew spoke English and honestly that was reason I started to watch this... Then I fell in love and then I fell out of love. I have no idea when exactly but from one moment, it just felt like watching 3h movie
It started so well and then... nothing had happened. Like literally. No plot, just Ramil being bullied by his father, Ran and Nin being cute and Chakri being their biggest fan. The effort that was put into the costumes and locations and basically whole background, should be also put into a script. Even the best actors with the best director in the world aren't able to turn bad script into watchale series.
It's pitty, because Next prince was the most awaited seried but it went downhill really fast. It could have work as 12eps drama, but also I can see a lot of not finished things. I mean Calvin and Jay and Ava with her trainer. Both had too less screentime.
RamilPatay deserved more as well. I'm happy they ended it the way they did, but I think Patay should leave sooner. Or atleast there should be some hints he'd do that. It was too sudden and even tho it made a perfect sense, it still lacked something.
I love all the actors and hope their next drama will be really worth to watch from the start to the end and I'm really sorry this was not the one. It could be, really, but beautiful clothes isn't enough. One more thing, I'm still not over the fact that creators couldn't decide if it's set in 18th century France or 2050 fictional land near Thailand.
