Agreed, right now I hate this show but love all groups, I entered this hoping the best for The Boyz after they…
I remember seeing it but I can't remember what episode, but they did mention the "professionals" were people in the industry like critics, vocal and performance directors, composers and lyricists, and media platform distributors.
Honestly I think the professional and self-evaluation votes should be all that's counted, otherwise it literally just becomes a popularity contest where the group with the biggest fanbase wins because people are going to vote for their favourites whether they performed well or not. Don't get me wrong, people can stan whoever they want, but this show is supposed to be about performance not popularity. Like, as ATINY I will always supposed ATEEZ in everything they do and their performances are always amazing, but if I could only vote for one group in round two it would be BTOB, without a doubt, because their performance was so far out of their comfort zone but they absolutely tore it up!
Adding global votes stacks the deck unfairly for groups like BTOB who were the first to debut in 2012 and ATEEZ who debuted last in 2018, because the other groups have been around long enough to have a fairly large following but not so long that their fans are starting to move on to newer groups, you know? The older and younger groups will keep working themselves into the ground to put on fantastic performances and it won't make any difference because their fan bases aren't as big. It's so disappointing.
The best we can hope for from the show at this point is that more people are like us, go in a fan of just one group and leave loving them all. They all deserve our love and support, and it stinks that any of them have to feel like they're inferior because they didn't win =(
To be honest, no one would even notice his mistake if it wasn't so accentuated like that in the show. It was so…
Exactly! It fit in so well with the emotion of the whole concept that no one would have even noticed if Mnet didn't point it out. Even Chan was like "Where did you mess up?" and none of the other groups seemed to notice either!
I was already mad at Mnet because of the budget debacle at the beginning, and don't even get me started on the arse-backwards voting system that's going to turn the whole show into a popularity contest or the sorry excuse for waiting rooms they've given to only some of the groups... but now I'm absolutely furious at the way they handled the situation with Stray Kids I.N this week.
Not only did they replay his "mistake" over and over again but as soon as he came off stage and they noticed he was very clearly upset, they separated him from his members (the people he really needed in that moment) and forced him to do an interview on his own. An interview in which they turned his mic volume up several times so that you could hear the heart-breaking little whimpering noises he was making while he tried to stop himself crying! They even had the nerve to include audio from I.N and Chan's mics of what was very clearly supposed to be a private conversation as well. Then when it was time to announce the results of the professional evaluation and Stray Kids somehow placed last (every week I become more and more convinced these so-called 'professionals' are just a bunch of Mnet staff randomly picking numbers out of a hat), the damn MC singled I.N out and asked "Did your performance reflect how much you prepared?" Wtf?! Like, I know he was probably just reading off his cards but that was low. And as if all that wasn't bad enough they used a picture of I.N holding back tears as one of the thumbnails for a video on their Youtube channel! How insensitive can you be?! Leave the poor boy alone and let him be upset in peace!
I came into Kingdom as ATINY but I'll be leaving as ATINY/Stay/iKONIC/Melody/Fantasy/Deobi because honestly, they're all amazing. They all work so damn hard and they all deserve to win.
Random thoughts on the first 3 episodes:- Ateez's Seonghwa was super cute holding his cellphone up over his face,…
- ATEEZ's Seonghwa was covering his face because he was about to cry... or maybe laugh, it's hard to tell sometimes with Seonghwa since he just generally looks like he's in pain when he laughs lol But I'm pretty sure BTOB's performance made him emotional since he's a big fan; he's a total sweetheart. Him and Wooyoung (the other member of ATEEZ holding up a scrolling sign that said "My friend Seo Changbin [Stray kids] is the best" and "Seo Changbin, you're sexy when you rap") were both tearing up and so were several of the Stray Kids, too precious. We stan supportive boys! - ATEEZ's blonde member who chose their music is their leader Hongjoong, also a sweetheart (let's face it, all 8 members are lol) - BTOB are currently missing two members, both Sungjae and Hyunsik are serving in the military (I believe they enlisted on the same day even?). Stray Kids are also missing one of their members, Hyunjin, and ATEEZ is missing their member Mingi. Hyunjin and Mingi are both on indefinite hiatus :( - Stray Kids' Felix's voice is definitely one of the deepest in the industry; it's 100% natural and surprises literally everyone lol He's also Australian (so is their leader Bang Chan), so it's even better when he's speaking English in that deep voice with an Aussie accent lol - Hyung/Hyeong (형) actually means 'older brother', it's an honorific used by men to call their older male friends. Sunbae/Sunbaenim (선배/선배님) basically means 'senior'. It's generally used for people (of either gender) in a more senior position than you and doesn't have anything to do with age. So for instance, even though Stray Kids' I.N is younger than literally every member of ATEEZ, he's Sunbaenim to them when they're in that kind of setting because Stray Kids debuted before ATEEZ and are therefore in a more senior position within the industry. But if they were all just hanging out in private, I.N would use hyung for all ATEEZ members because they're all older than him, unless of course they agree to speak informally. Hopefully that made sense? lol - SF9 Jaeyoon was the one who insisted on keeping that move, even after he was injured. They gave him the option to change it and the other members even encouraged him to not do it because they were worried about him, but he wanted to keep it because he thought the audience would enjoy it. I do agree though, he really shouldn't have done it after the first time he hurt himself, but there wasn't much they could do since he insisted - Injuries are fairly common in the k-pop industry but the same can be said for any kind of performance-based industry; ballet, gymnastics, stunt-work, etc. Unfortunately, no matter how well prepared you are accidents and mistakes can and will happen. But it's also kind of cultural thing to say things like that too, sort of like "break a leg" but in reverse lol
I mean I think it makes sense, because he had started to fall in love with him so realizing they're related must…
I don't think they're actually related. I know he was calling the lady 'auntie' but that's just a Thai thing to call women older than yourself that way; I think she's just a neighbour/family friend. I feel like Gene was just mostly upset that Sib not only lied about not having anywhere else to go, but also didn't tell him they'd known each other since childhood.
English subs will be added within the hour, as per usual
Really? Every time I've been to check each week the English subs don't show up until at least 15-30 mins after each part has finished premiering. The subs that show up for me during premieres has always been Thai.
Why is everyone so angry at the way Phupha reacted? Have ya'll forgotten in the first episode he literally said; "I will never forgive the person who did this to Torfun." Of course he's gonna be upset when he hears the words "I'm responsible for her death" come out of Tian's mouth, like... ??
I really loved this episode but some stuffs really bothered me. First I hated how the whole village made Tian…
I don't think they were mad at him for not telling them Torfun was dead so much as the fact that he said he was the cause of her death. Most of them were not only grieving her loss in general but also upset about the fact that someone they had let into their "family" and thought they could trust was apparently the one that killed their beloved Torfun, so it's understandable that none of them wanted to talk him right away. It was only a day or two before Longtae went to talk to him, so I think given a bit more time the others might have gone to Tian to find out exactly what happened as well. But I'm guessing either the doctor or Phu will tell everyone the truth before that happens lol Phu should definitely have asked Tian for his side of the story before acting so rashly though, I completely agree with you there. But at the same time, we have to remember that at the start of the series he did say if he ever found out who killed Torfun he'd never forgive them so it kind of makes sense in that regard I guess?
I refuse to believe he's responsible for her death.
I feel like when he bet the other guy he could beat him in a street race he lost and had to give the other guy his car as part of the bet. Then that guy was the one who hit Torfun and fled the scene because he knew the cops would be looking for the owner of the car, which was still technically Tian, so he would have got away with it.
seriously, this Special episode is really not a good idea because the writer not even explaining everything clearly…
I'm guessing it'll all be properly explained in season 2 but my theory is that the hospital bill ShiDe was looking at before he started typing the email to ShuYi, which was for a patient named Troy A Cornelius, may have been for his new step-father and the woman with the baby may be his a step-sister. The hospital bill lists charges for emergency room services, Meperidine (a painkiller) and Promethazine (an anti-allergy medication), and ShiDe mentions there being a delay when he got off the plane, so maybe his step-father had an allergic reaction to something and the wedding couldn't go ahead as soon as planned so he had to stay in America longer? Just my theory. Though ShuYi's reaction to seeing ShiDe with the woman was completely out of character so... who knows lol
don't think.. trailer.. shi de tells dad, he took a backseat but this time he will let shu yi face it on his own
I'm not sure who captioned that version of the trailer (I saw it too) but he definitely doesn't say he'll let ShuYi face it alone. He says 這一次我會讓書逸跟我一起面對你 which in English is "This time I will let ShuYi face you with me".
So WeTv just turned this VIP while I was watching this? Ok then
It's probably an accident and will most likely be fixed when EP13 goes live. The same thing happened last week, it's something to do with them trying to fix the subtitles or something.
Did this get region locked or something? I have VIP on WeTV, and have watched all episodes so far, but when I…
I have VIP as well and I can see all 11 eps, but it looks like they've locked 3-11 for VIP only for some reason. I'm in Australia though, so maybe it's not region-locked here?

Mnet on the other hand can go straight to hell.
