Not ATEEZ using their final stage to invite the other groups to have beef for dinner with them after the show LOL

Having come into watching this show as ATINY (and leaving loving all the groups) I'd love to say ATEEZ but after round 3's midpoint results I don't think it's gonna happen. I think Stray Kids will most likely take the win. All of the groups did amazing but I feel like Stray Kids have the biggest fanbase (or at least the most enthusiastic fanbase maybe?) and I think that will push them into 1st place at the end.

That being said, I'm SUPER proud of ATEEZ and their performance this week. They really said "Forget the competition, we're doing this one for ATINY!" and put on a performance that anyone not familiar with their work might not have understood but it didn't matter, because ATINY gets it.

Yeh I thought the same thing when I saw people posting it on Twitter but to be fair, it's only the midpoint rankings not the actual overall rankings for that round. That ranking only takes the professional and self-evaluations into account, not the global votes/views; so the final ranking for that round will most likely be completely different.

EP9 did already air but for some reason it was later than usual being put up on Viki this week, so I'm guessing whoever was congratulating the winner of this round saw either the Youtube video Mnet posted with the results from the previous rounds, or the actual show that aired on TV.

While I agree that BTOB are great (all the groups competing are) I don't think it's fair to say they were the only reason Mayfly won all three rounds. Every member in all three units did amazing, you can't credit their wins to literally a single member from each unit; that's just plain rude and disrespectful to the other boys who worked their butts off too. All of them deserve our respect, regardless of age or when they debuted.

I wish I'd done that, it's torture waiting for new episode each week; especially when they split each round into two episodes lol You're in for a treat though, the performances are all fantastic and the interactions between the groups (when Mnet allows it) are so funny and sweet!

Exactly. Like, I get that it's a competition and they're being judged on every aspect of their performance but voice cracks are something they can't control, especially for younger members whose voices are still changing. If they messed up the lyrics or forgot the choreography that's a different story, but either way if something happens like that the directors could at least give them time to pull themselves together before grilling them and making them feel worse. Mnet is definitely shady af, on so many levels, and not just with this show.

Oh trust me, I know how crappy Mnet are; I just wish they'd leave them alone for like five minutes.

Inseong's voice cracked right before he was supposed to hit a high note during their team's vocal performance so he was off key. Same thing happened to I.N in the last round and Mnet being the snakes that they are like to create more drama for the views by isolating the member who made a mistake from their group and making them feel even worse until they basically just have a solo interview of the member in question trying and failing to keep his shit together. It's heart breaking and disgusting.

I haven't seen the full episode yet (just the vocal unit performances on Youtube) but I swear if they do the same thing to Inseong (SF9) that they did to I.N (Stray Kids) I am so done with Mnet.

And last but definitely not least, their VLive channel is always worth keeping an eye on — https://www.vlive.tv/channel/C057DB — for their fun and incredibly chaotic lives that they do pretty frequently. I believe all but the newest Yeosang lives have been subbed (including a live that Seonghwa, San and Yunho did the other day), it usually takes a few days for subs to show up after new lives but they're still fun to watch even when you can't understand them because they're usually just pure chaos lol

Right! Han (Stray Kids) being the living embodiment of the surprised Pikachu meme with literally every performance, Wooyoung (ATEEZ) out here living his fanboy dreams (snatching phone numbers from other groups left and right LOL) and proudly letting everyone know Changbin (Stray Kids) is his bff and is sexy when he raps, Bobby (iKon) shouting "THEY GOT IT!" when Seonghwa (ATEEZ) shot the kraken and "Hey, this is cheating!" because SF9 look so good just walking across the stage, and of course literally everyone's reactions when Minhyuk (BTOB) tore off his shirt have been some of my favourite moments of the entire show!

It's nice that they give the option to watch without the reactions on Youtube, and I do watch them too, but it's much more entertaining with the reactions imo

Nah, they're fine. They might not be as flashy as the newer groups but they have their own style and it suits them I think.

I like seeing all the reactions, it's cute seeing how excited they get about other group's performances and seeing them cheering each other on

This is one of the things I love about the K-pop industry: toxic masculinity is nowhere to be found. All these boys are out here back-hugging each other, smacking their member's butts just because they can, holding hands to give each other support, calling each other cute and beautiful, saying "I love you" to each other without hesitation, and spouting non-stop compliments at each other. Hell, most of these guys frequently share beds with their members and some of them are even comfortable kissing each other, and no one bats an eyelid at it because platonic intimacy is a completely normal thing in Korean (and most East-Asian countries actually) and the rest of the world should take note because it's a beautiful thing.

Yeh it gets kind of annoying seeing every single tweet they make be bombarded with comments like "Bring Hyunjin back!" Like I get it, it's not the same without him, we all want him back; but don't discredit the work the other seven members are doing in the meantime, you know. They're all doing their best to make the most out of a crappy situation and they deserve praise for it, not to have their accomplishments brushed aside because some people's bias isn't there.

I mean, they had to go to someone right? I want Hyunjin to come back just as much as anyone else but while he's gone someone has to take over his parts. During their own shows/stages they can get away with just playing his voice over his parts while the rest of them dance, but that won't work for Kingdom unfortunately.

ATEEZ have been doing similar for their missing member, Mingi, since the beginning. During the face-to-face round San, Seonghwa and Yunho shared Mingi's parts, then in the first round Hongjoong took over most of his smaller parts, and they cut out his largest part entirely and replaced it with the kraken bit. It's sad but it has to be done.
