Thank goodness we don't all have to rage quit or riot. Bad dream = dirty trick.
We learned about EVERYONE's trauma today. Now, we only have two episodes left - there's a lot of stuff to wrap up. Either move the GL subplot along or stop giving them so much time. The evil villain stuff has to stop - and could Sila just figure out it's his female assistant already that's helping?
No adult being at the hospital was ridiculous - where was Auntie Nong - she 100% should've been there. Sila should have gone, although we know Saithan was freaking out.
Well.. I guess it had a beginning, a middle, and an end. š
Highlights:
-Peak is gorgeous
-Ray is gorgeous
-Scent's suits are gorgeous
-Ray & Makin figured their shit out
This series was ENTIRELY too long for what we got. Every single scene just dragged and dragged it was a chore watching it half the time. I needed something more, a heavier plot, a shorter run time, Tawan being an actual love rival, full relationship side story with MakinRay, Mata secretly knowing Scents uncle and/or dad, literally anything.
My poor PearlPeak were done dirty.. but maybe we'll get a new ship with PetchObey out of it? This is what happens when you rush out a series for a popular ship. LiTM is iconic. Flower Boy was meh.
They have finally toned down the comedy, and I will admit I do enjoy these two now on the same page and cuddly. BUT I kind of miss Moo Moo having some spunk. In this episode, he just let Fu run wild. He wasn't upset about Fu being his text buddy, and he wasn't upset when Fu out them after he said he didn't want people to know.
I know it was causing him some major angst, but at the same time, it really feels like this is something they should have talked about together. It feels like Moo Moo had a downgrade in personality and it is being engulfed by Fu. He was standing firm with Fu about not fooling around at work and only occasionally getting pulled in for it to all collapse. While I love the caretaker role Boss normally plays I was truly enjoying Noeul's character having a more vocal active role in the relationship and I really hope that doesn't all just vanish.
I really felt for Moo Moo. He has a valid reason for not disclosing their relationship, as he is an intern. Yet at the same time, it is hard when everyone is looking at Grim, who is way too perfect to be real. It isn't jealousy this time as much as a wound to his self-esteem, which hits a lot deeper, I think. Everyone loves Grim and he is a genuinly nice guy so Moo Moo can't even really dislike him.
It looks like Tian and his bed hopping are the real supporting characters/couple in this show. We have gotten more of him and his backstory than the other two. I do like it, but I feel like they should have just dropped the brothers because the 3 minutes each episode has amounted to nothing but aggravation.
I really wish they would release the theme song although I have it constantly running around in my head during the week so maybe I don't need to.
Well, that was quite the journey. Can't believe we came in for such a soft landing. At first, I'll admit, I was all like, "Lu Feng doesn't need a psychiatrist... he needs an exorcist!" Still, how they dealt with his bipolar situation was pretty spot on.
LU FENG: "But what if I can't be cured?" LI CHEN: "Then I'll go crazy with you..."
Loved this ā¬ļø exchange. It fairly summarized their relationship.
I will say, the casting was A+++. I cannot imagine any other actor playing either of these roles. It's like they were born to play them. And, finally, Ayden Sng's performance was s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g!
Now, Lu Feng - stop putting pandas on everything. As if the pajamas and the embroidered bedding weren't enough... did you really have to pick up that panda apron, too? š
SO good! They have to stop ending episodes this way!
Love that Sun is just talking his way into things. And that his first ask of his backer was "get my manager scolded" - nice try, but Jay is a few steps ahead of you.
Boss was excellent in his role. But the background music was annoyingly loud
Oh Jay, you belong to a members only club that probably will cater to whatever you want, and you have a SECOND OFFICE set up? Having not read the source material, my guess is that Jay's background is poor (hence the 200,00 cigarette) and he clawed his way to the top so all he knows how to do is work.
This was agains a stellar performance from Gemini and Fourth. I was ready for this episode. But when I began I thought, no!
Let's just watch the final 15 minutes of episode 2 again!
And after that, episode 3.
Tanrak literally became unwell from jealousy, seeing Barth and Cherry as Joseph and Mary. Allthough Barth said, "Don't read too much into it". But logic went out of the door.
The sweltering heat between both of them in the bathroom was too much to bear for poor Tanrak. And Barth was like at the other side of the door. And then, yes, Barth said it. First, you felt the same as I and than the final confession. And Tanrak opening the door. He seemed so relieved at that time. He carried it alone. Not anymore.
I mean. I get it. Barths's gaze through this show would give me a heart attack in real life if he looked at me like that. Barth visibly touched by seeing Tanraks incredible body all the time splashed with water.
And after the confession. There it was. Tanraks eyes became so soft. And it was like a weight lifted from his shoulders.
Off course. The guilt will set in but for now. That is not on at least Tanraks mind.
When the line up of GMMTV's series were shown, last year or was it even 2024? Anyway. There were shows I was so excited for that turned out to be disappointing.
Shows that I was like, hmm. Wait and see. That turned out great.
But this was the only one from the line up that I was very enthusiastic about and delivering even more than I anticipated.
This episode made me really sad, mad and happy as well?????? I think it was almost like Dan-Shim/Seo-Ri was preparing to leave. Their little conversation in bed was so beautiful and intimate and the fact that Cha Se-gye has no idea about all the other stuff thatās happening with Dan Shim having to return and the ill-omened star. Heās going to be devastated if she just suddenly disappears and it seems like sheās even had a conversation with Mo Tee-Hee, which doesnāt bode well.
My thoughts about the soul swap: I think the younger flashbacks we have of Dan-Shim, she has more of Shin Seo-riās personality, timid, not looking people in the eyes etc but also when confronted by the Grand Prince while sheās drinking wine she says she has a lot of suppressed anger which sheās treating with the wine, so that makes me think they are the same person. Especially now that Fl seems to be getting flashbacks of Shin Seo-riās memories.
My other theory is either its the Grand Prince or Cha Se-gye, there can only be one who gets a happy ending and I think itās obvious itās going to be CSG because I have a nasty feeling that something has already happened to the Grand Prince in the past.
I think ultimately the most satisfying thing would be to turn the tables on the King/Choi Mun-do in both timelines and getting a happy ending if not in both, then at least in one timeline.
Now on to my thoughts about the episode: all my instagram content this week has been Cha Se-gye/Heo Nam-jun thirst traps (absolutely worth it) Him dropping everything immediately when she calls is just so damn attractive and then when heās pulling away trying to not show that heās crying in the hospital room it was just *SCREAMS*
I really hope our writers pull out all the stops when it comes to these last 3 episodes and really give us t he scheming, calculating and intelligent Joseon era villainess we were promised and I hope she really leans into that selfishness- there is nothing wrong with her wanting to be the one who is with him. Theyāve loved each other for so long, I just donāt want her to sacrifice herself thinking heāll be better off with somebody else because heās already told her heās all in. Heās not letting her go. I hope she decides the same thing.
As for Cha Se-gye, I think heās perfect... that little twirl he did when he returned to Chail... was so attractive. Love a confident man who doesnāt a single fuck about what anyone thinks of him or his tactics. I also remember during the initial episodes I had seen some comments about how Im Ji Yeonās acting was stealing the show but I think we can all safely say that each actor in this show has done an amazing job, theyāre all scene stealers. Heo Nam Jun I would just like to say... Iāll happily come and take a look at your arm sized Namsan Tower lmao.
Choi Mun-do needs to spend more time with his kid and less time scheming because itās giving Austin Powers Dr Evil energy.
I just really really hope beyond anything else that our ML and FL get to have a happy ending and we get to wrap up all the storylines satisfactorily.
So sad that it's ended. I honestly wish it had been longer. I'm going to miss Aioon and Fun ā¹ļø
I really enjoyed this series, probably because the premise is much closer to my age š I just can't get into school-set stories anymore.
I also liked that the "storming" stage of their marriage was mostly confined to the first few episodes. After that, the theme felt more like "whatever comes our way, we'll face it together." One scene that really stayed with me was when Aioon lost her job and felt like she had failed to provide for the family (I think it was Ep. 5?). Fun's response was basically, "We started with nothing before. If we have to start over again, that's okay as long as we're together". It was why I kept watching.
My only wish is that we'd gotten more episodes of them as parents instead of spending 3 episodes on Krit trying to ruin their marriage. There was so much potential there! We could've had an episode about Phupa wanting a cat, another about Fun going full Asian mom wanting their child to become a doctor, etc.
The scene where Fun scolded Aioon, Phupa, and Mr. Jorn had me laughing so hard 𤣠I wish the props department had put a bit more personality into Phupa's room. It looked more like a regular room with a few plushies added rather than a child's room that was actually lived in. Like, at least the bedsheets.
Also, can I just say...Fun being on top is sexy š³ And that comment she made the next morning about Aioon's hand š¤
Anyway, I really hope OomBam get another series together soon. I'll definitely be rooting for them!
Krit is just torturing himself, watching from afar, still fathering Singto, bro, like Rose said, you brought this on yourself
Dad can go F himself, he's your son, not your plant, stop being so controlling
Poom's crying that he can't get over Krit was so freaking good. Wayu wears his heart on his sleeve and Poom is killing it
I do actually feel bad for Mind. He has a crush, he respected Wayu's decision, he waited and tried again. No, he's never going to win but I do feel bad for him, he's a nice kid. Maybe him and Richie can hook up
I loved the bar reunion but the second they asked him to preform again all the alarms went off. I suspected Nice since the party! Also how do they dance like that in JEANS.
He slapped him across the face with a di*do *cackles*
Interesting.... why did he let him go? Did he need to know the cop Wayu worked for? For this operation to be like this he prob has guys on the inside so he needs to know Krit is the enemy?? I low key want dad involved so he's publicly shamed and can't preach about his reputation anymore and also I just hate him
I was not expecting to shed tears this episode, but that opening scene got me. I wanted to know but I didnāt want to know at the same time what happened to Phop after Klao disappeared. I could not stand watching him in pain and wasting away like that. My heart was instantly broken for him. And I wonāt even get started on Chuai. That man was loyal to the very end.
But that reunion?! That reunion made up for that. I usually want instant gratification but them realizing that they both remembered was done so well. šš¾ And so beautifully.** And the way Phop grabbed Kun and hugged him once he realized he remembered?**! I was in tears again.
Pun and Thi finally getting together and all of that v-cut NC goodness?! There will be NO complaints over here. A twelve episode wait was worth that scene. Thi said donāt turn your eyes away because Iāve been in the gym to look this good. š¤£
And that reincarnation twist at the end? More tears. Just when I thought I was all dried out. Nope. They werenāt done.
I couldnāt have asked for a better ending to a series. It had a little bit of everything and every single actor (both main and side characters) did an amazing job. This will definitely be a rewatched series for me. The first episode had me nervous because I thought it would be unserious but the second episode had me hooked. And by episode five I was a goner.
Oh my days....another BL. Almost 50 minutes per episode! 16 episodes. I don't have time!
But...I watched episode 1 just now. Changyang is young, 20, but he is unbiased. Pretty straight forward knowingly well how good his body looks. And feeds Qinglang without any problems as if he is a baby.
I still don't know how he puts up with all of this just because Qinglangs brother is a friend of his and how easy it is for Qinglang to use him as a servant. But I guess Changyang was already a fan of him before.
The same director as Secrets happened on the Litchi island!
Now I understand the cinematographic quality. Already in the beginning I was like, OK. Stick with this.
Episode 2. Yes. It is clear. Changyan is a big fan. Password of his laptop is the birth date of Qinglang. And there is also some interest from Qinglang.
Episode 3. Worms from bamboo in a frying pan. The result is exactly why you should not eat it.
My theory is that when the āaccidentā happened during her childhood, Seori went back in time and stayed there, forgetting her modern day memories. Thatās why āDansimāwas so good at surviving ā she had her innate acting skills and clearly had to deal with some challenging family issues, so she probably adapted quickly. This is perhaps how weāll get the happy ending, because her soul is already back in the right body (modern-day Seori), she just has to sever her ties to Joseon somehow.
What isnāt clear is whether post-accident Seori, who could no longer act and also spoke in a strange way for 6 months, had body swapped with the original Dansim or was perhaps a shell of herself. Given that there are only 3 episodes left, Iām not sure if this will be properly addressed, but at this point Iāll be content with a happy ending and some hand waving š
I loved the first trailer but I like that this one gives more insight into Phob's mindset because staging a coup just to spite the parents of the man you love and couldn't be with is delightfully crazy but probably too flimsy to hang a whole show on. I am curious to see how they frame his character in the show since military coups/dictators are pretty much exclusively bad in the long run and given that his lover is one of the royals he's just deposed... I assume there's going to be some massaging of the politics here.
I primarily watch bls for escapism but I can enjoy something a little bit weightier too. Excited!

The final episode better be sexy fluff

This is so far the best in the 4 Elements series.
I love this series so much. And don't even get me started on that preview for the next episode(s)š„µ

Kanit on To's French (which was so romantic, BTW): "What language was that? Parseltongue?"
The dialogue is just sooo damn good! Oh, and I'm stealing Kanit's Motto.
Dad can go F himself, he's your son, not your plant, stop being so controlling
Poom's crying that he can't get over Krit was so freaking good. Wayu wears his heart on his sleeve and Poom is killing it

What is left is Pei Yanzhi's health. I think that is the main reason for him to get away, to sort his tribe but that is a handy excuse.
He no longer can get his monthly antidote from villain prince. I'm scared for next week's final episode.

I really shouldāve waited for this to be finished. 15 minutes just isnāt enough, and now I have to wait another week š
I was SO looking forward to this episode because the preview showed swordplay and martial arts. It did not disappoint!!
But why do Yanzhi and A Qi have to separate now that they eliminated all their enemies!? š
I sure do hope they are reunited and live a HEA next week in the finale.
I primarily watch bls for escapism but I can enjoy something a little bit weightier too. Excited!
