I can't believe LUAT is over 😭. This was a super peaceful episode and I was about to succeed not crying until the end but when Nakhun went home and was greeted by his mom and the reveal my tears were suddenly present!
I was not able to screenshot because I just wanted to focus on the episode when I was almost running on empty from work; was quite lucky that I managed to arrive home around a quarter before the episode dropped 🥹.

I was about to ask regarding the LUAT event since I was not seeing any posts in the sub about it... but since I saw Waffles post about Poppy and TheeWave on my feed, then it happened. Been having problems with a lot of posts not showing up for me on both DMD and TTP subs, and I just thought not having updates regarding the event was due to the recent passing of the princess and the rest because the reddit app despises me.
Dang, what an excellent episode! From Pete vs. whatever-the-hell-you-call-that-monkey-thing to the broken drumsticks to the conversation about what sits above heaven... all the way to Pete's sister coming back and, of course, the hug. I couldn't possibly be the only person thinking, "Y'all really need to be hugging it out... right about now." Li Pou (Krist) remains a formidable presence. Ahhh. Even the clunky inclusion of that Lactasoy box couldn't derail the episode. And the conversation during the epilogue? 👀
August is a shipping agent. He read the room, and he read it right. As for Achi? Yeah, Augar got ya back, baby. They are so adorable. In fact, the whole damn gang is adorable.
And don't even get me started on the double-kissed medal! 😁

lol when the truck kun came for grandpa AND his gf at the same time and Cha Se Gye is still thrown off by Mun Do, to the point of having to Beg him not to demolish the grandmas home and restaurant
And the fact that he didn’t really immediately suspect Mun Do for the truck…he got it investigated but I feel like if he actually thought Mun Do did it he’d come beat him up for hitting his gf let alone the grandpa
The amount of Ls the ML is taking is a weak point in the writing totally agree. How can we believe he’s smart and competent lol when Mun Do is stomping on him so bad
Just to recap yall, in two episodes or so, Mun Do was able to: (1) truck kun grandpa and FL; (2) kill the nurse witness; (3) frame ML for it; (4) takeover the company; (5) set the grandmas property for immediate demolishment; (6) drug the FL, attacking her AGAIN; (7) plant a whistleblower to make it look like Biojei was putting carcinogens in its products knowingly. like how is that many one ups on the ML even possible if he’s supposed to be smart 😭
Why does it feel like they ran out of money? This was such a bad ending for the show. I will give them point in not taking the easy way out by giving Taosor his memories back but they left pretty much every string undone. Kim proved that he loved Taosor enough to let him go instead of making Taosor face the constant battle of his fake family trying to pull them apart. Taosor proved that his emotions of Kim were strong enough to linger and never vanish. Taley, I guess, got his redemption in not continuing to torture Taosor. I really hate him. They need at least two more episodes and really four to cover the brother tie-in.
If I leave out the rushed ending, I really like this show. They convinced me that Kim could leave an impression of love in Taosor's mind even as he forgot everything. It was pretty, and the story was unique.
The pace is getting slower. Or it is just me thinking this?
Anyway. I was not amused by what Saves dad said to his brother. But I guess that has to do with what he grew up like. Having to learn his brother "how to be a guy" and also feel inferior compared to him.
Cataract. I was thinking that he would have that. I heard from my mother that practically everyone her age gets that.
Save is always practically the most adult person in the room when it is about his family. He again saved the day with the "peace talks ". That also indirectly saved their home. Because his uncle is going to pay.
That older writer also. Save would not stand for it and confronted that man. How date he only coming once to visit and only to cuss about the BL novel, even that grandpa would influence his grandson?
And he is honest at home about Guy. I liked that short kiss on the rooftop, just enough to show him he means it.
Next week will be fun on that all boys school, haha. Allthough I like that this BL is all about family and seeing how this family is dealing with stuff. I just need to see Guy and Save happy.
Still completely hooked and hollowing that it over, and I need to wait another week to see what happens next. I really enjoyed the Pakin and Sun section of the show. Boss did a wonderful job as a sexual predator of a photographer and Min once again with his expressions.
I also love the poor manager's notebook of doom and gloom 😂 I don't think he could have found a worse candidate. I am wondering if Sun actually does manage to learn how to act. I was thinking Pakin said he didn't know how Sun could be an actor with him being so emotionless, but he really could be a blank slate to pour a character's emotions into.
Best. Episode. Yet. If THAT scene isn't one of the most well acted scenes in GL history I don't know what is. When Jing whimpered when she started crying I just about lost it. The ending though, I'm surprised she didn't come in on a horse in a knights costume. Loved Proud being a bro with the water, and the hand-holding at the end? YES, yes, yes. There's a reason why this is my favourite GL of the year.
How do you follow up a line like that? Ugh. The damage being done. The guilt, the sense of doom, the denial... the sheer fuckin' torture. So many times I just wanna look away. I haven't read the novel so I had no idea that a Chinese BL actually, after all the madness, adressed the elephant in the room. That there is definitely something wrong with Lu Feng. And not like, ok, let's meet a psychologist a couple of times and feel better. No. Bipolar. And a long time in the hospital. Lifelong medication and always on alert.
Funny how a male partner here was allowed to see the whole medical dossier. Even married partners over here have no right at all. Also for minors but from 16 up, not allowed unless explicit written permission.
Xiao Chen surprised me a bit. He was with Lu Feng, then again friends, then out of the house. It was somewhat complicated. But I understood that it was also his final ultimatum. Check yourself in or you will loose me forever. And that was Lu Fengs biggest fear.
It ended well. Congrats to the actors. They gave it their all. They did well.

So I guess Saengla must have been awake long enough to be told he was going into surgery since he knew immediately upon waking up. Also the ability of that boy to talk sense and comfort Saitharn just after waking up is impressive.
I feel for Mueangprae. Father basically wanted her as a broodmare to sell off for the other farm. Just a pawn that understandably and correctly wants to be her own person. But since her flashback brought it up I'm still going to say she was totally at fault for the extremely minor fender bump being used to lure in and thus far mostly fail to seduce Saitharn into being a sugar baby🤣.
That GL kiss that didn't happen was shot super slow....even at 2x playback.
I still feel there are too many plot lines. We're not getting enough focus on either of the couples.
This series was like a warm blanket that made me feel cozy and good 🥰🥰 it was so nice to see that full circle for Kuji from that first night they got together to the present (nice NC, BTW! 😍). I felt sad that Azuma felt he couldn’t tell him mom about their relationship 😞😞 that crying scene with Tamaki was so touching! 😭❤️ and that was a nice detail Azuma wearing the keychain like a ring! 🥰🥰 I’m really going to miss this one! 😩❤️❤️
And our favorite knuckleheads finally got on the same page about loving each other!! 👏👏🎉🎉❤️ Fukami looked extra pretty in this episode, and I liked that they were so nervous during their first time having sex after saying I Love You, it made it extra special! 🥰🥰 this was such a fun and lighthearted series, great antidote for all the heavy ones were getting on the weekends! I’ll really miss it! ❤️❤️
It was more interesting than I expected from seeing the trailer. The background story behind that app was also explained better than most series that mesh technology with shamanism. But, Hye-Ryung’s extreme action that jumpstart the curse was rushed and didn’t land for me. Seeing her thought process and the aftermath of the humiliation would have helped convince me better. That being said, Siwon and Hye-Ryung’s characters are better developed than the 4 friends, especially Se-ah. Se-ah’s character, especially considering her role in the series, was at times very linear, flat and predictable.
Overall, I liked how this series depicted different timelines and perspectives without boring the audience and dampening the thriller. I know this probably wont have a second season, but the intention is there cause Na-ri is trapped in the app and (from the epilogue) may be manipulating Hyeong-Wook’s discord friend
It is a 7/10 for me: a good thriller/ horror Netflix flick that was very much needed with most k-dramas released these days being rom-coms or feel good dramas.
The source material for Reborn Rookie and Reborn Rich share the same author. He really excels at writing hostile corporate takeovers and chaebol politics. To some extent, I feel bad for Chairman Kang Yong Ho, I would push myself down the stairs knowing my children have grown up with my business acumen but are morally corrupt.
Glad he's righting some wrongs with the staff that were affected when he covered up for his kids (ie. Manager Park), and also with Casey. Her reactions to his godamn charismatic wink was hilarious to watch hahaha.
Also omg Acting Chairman Lee Sang Jae, what was with that Goblin-like umbrella reunion scene outside the restaurant?! I started snort laughing like Kang Yong Ho hahaha.

The whole "17 Again" plot with Casey and Jun Hyeong is really funny and I'm looking forward to following along withthe weird shenananigans.
