In history5 if the writers put in more time on a proper time travel butterfly effect type of emotional impact twenty episodes would have flew by.
To me it seemed like the writers dropped the ball. Why even mention the conflicting points with the grandma and then turn around and say. Forget about grandma baby you've got me. The least they could have done is let him go back to tie up loose ends. At least don't let her think that you are on the side of the road somewhere.
