Title The Longest Promise Spoiler
Some people have read the script and confirmed the drama has a happy ending too
I understand 🤣🤣🤣. But don’t worry, the script is pretty solid and drama has not deviated from it. XZ is very picky and has really high standards when it comes to picking his projects. 😊

I think this drama will not have a good ending bc we already knew that the ending of Mirror: A Tale of Twin Cities…

Have you seen the last bts that was 5 mins long showing the major angst? 😆 We should treasure every sweet moments we can 🥹.

The drama is still establishing the master-discipline relationship and also building sy and zy’s relationship so when we hit the one of major plot, it’s going t be more impactful.

I found her so pretty when she cried too. Her face was all red especially her watery eyes. Another pretty crier…
Yes!!! And this is just the beginning. So much more angst waiting for us in the upcoming episodes! We will live and die by Shi Ying and Zhu Yan’s tears 🥰. Both Xiao Zhan and Ren Min are beautiful criers with such much nuances and emotions.

Oh yes, she’s a very pretty crier. I thought she handle those scenes so exquisitely well. She look so pained, so vulnerable and so helpless when she found out she couldn’t accomplish her dearest wish and when Shi Ying hurt her. I love it and am so looking forward to more love and hate/angst between her and Shi Ying. 😆

Ren min really shined in today’s episode 6. I see a lot of comments knocking her looks but I find her appearance to be refreshing and age appropriate for her character. She’s been cute and feisty for the past 5 episodes but today she brought the water works. I can feel her pain and heartbreak when SY cut her down today. What is even more important, she is making Shi Ying, Chong Ming and the audience feel her emotions - her feisty nature, her curiosity, her happiness and her sadness.

Just wondering which of the c-ent actresses you think can convey all these emotions that is better than ren min but is visually more appealing? If y’all can’t look beyond what you deem is the standard for beauty , and can’t contribute constructive criticism or discussions to the plot, then why waste your time here? I’m not her fan but it’s pretty annoying to see the same comments over and over again. Many of us are here for drama discussions. You made your point. Please move on.

Title The Longest Promise Spoiler
I still don’t understand why fl will bring calamity to ml. It hasn’t been explained well. Can someone please…
This is google translation from weibo:
Yu Guyao's current plot is very reasonable, and it is rare in Xianxia dramas to pay a price for "changing fate".

Shi Ying's substitute replaced Shi Ying and died, and the crown prince Kongsang died in the eyes of the world. Master even concealed the astrology. At that time, Ying was actually a numerological death. He was actually "deceiving the sky" ", and at this time someone pays homage to him, which is equivalent to confirming the death in the star, so it is very reasonable for Shiying, a "dead man", to have a "death calamity".

So when ZY offered sacrificial rites to a “dead” person, she became his “calamity” I guess.

Person Xiao Zhan
Whoever is managine his career is not doing a good job. He is very popular they should take advantage of that…
Lol, strike while the iron is hot - he’s been the top stream for 3 years in a row - and that’s with him lying low key most of the time. I hope you understand that normal c-ent logic doesn’t apply to him.

With many eyes staring at him day in and day out, he has to be more cautious in choosing his dramas and projects. Every moves he makes gets magnified 100x. As for his ambitions, he knows more about his specific career path than you or his fans. Every new drama he takes show his trajectory and his ambitions for growth and versatility. As a real actor looking to continue to hone his talent- he looks for quality script where he can grow as an actor and enrich his portfolio. He doesn’t need to enter seamlessly from one group to another just to churn out 3-4 dramas a year to satisfy “fans” expectations.

He has 2 dramas that aired this year (Ace Troop and OOL), completed Where Dreams Begin this summer and will enter a new drama shooting this month. TLP will aired later this year, possibly during winter vacation. His real fans know when to wait patiently for his dramas to air and for when he wants to show up in public settings.

I haven’t watched a lot of modern romantic cdramas since the ones I had watched in the past tend to be very draggy and dulled. But I love ool so much! I can’t believe how fast the pace of the storyline is, moving from one scene to the next seamlessly, with no fillers in btwn so far. The story seems to be tight, revolving around our two main leads, with no useless angst and drama yet. The drama is so sweet and heartwarming, making me laugh, cry and sigh with giddiness and happiness at how much I’m enjoying every episode. The core of the drama is, of course, the great acting and chemistry btwn Xiao Zhan and Yang Zi, with their great comedic timings and heart wrenching acting skills.. I can’t wait to see how their love story unfolds and what funny and beautiful sceneries the drama will bring us.
