I love his cinematography style, it's really beautiful and soothing, perfect for slice-of-life and slowburn romances. I've also noticed that he has directed plenty of bl and bromance works and the intimacy in them, especially in Miseinen (which also had another director so credit goes to him too), tend to be so soft and full of warmth.

Honestly, there should be a sequel based on just the mysterious old woman and what she sells, maybe even a bit of her backstory. Her reasoning that everyone thought the world is unfair so she just wanted to give them an opportunity for a fairer life, was interesting. She didn't seem human, but more like a classical Fae who were originally known to be trick-ish to humans.
Plus she had many other interesting-looking things along with the spoon, I wonder what those things can do. This story was based on money and characters switching based on it, the another one could be based on talent where someone tries to switch with someone who's more talented in a highly competitive field (like a ballerina, a musical artist who's into opera or playing piano/violin/instruments in general, or a chef because the cooking industry is also tough as hell)
Edit: Appearance-switch! I just realised that it would make an interesting story too, especially since the characters here switched their identities but kept their original appearance. Rather than a spoon, it could be a lipstick, a hand mirror, or a polaroid camera that makes the characters switch their appearance.

I already am, got my eyes on all of his upcoming works because this man is way too fine and costume dramas suit him to a T. In fact, one of the earliest commenters (or, shall I say, clown) on the Veil of Shadow's page was me lmao, and I had translated the chinese synopsis on mdl before the official english version came out.
