Squid game is the only popular series out of the three you mentioned. And I don't know why Asian series is never as popular as Hollywood series. What could be the reason? See this series, Twilight saga Breaking dawn franchise, it drove a lot of fans crazy. And Harry Potter too. I can't list them all, the reason I included among other. Even Lord of the rings is a masterpiece. The Godfather franchise a masterpiece. The curious case of Benjamin Button, The Avatar. Even as I disliked the movie Avatar, I still appreciated the masterpiece of it. Etc. there are many of them out there. Brilliant movies.

A very brief argument below. Someone called this series a masterpiece. But I do not agree. My reasons
1: Male pregnancy theme is not new. There's another Japanese series with male pregnancy that was done much better than this ABO Desire pregnancy part.

2: Diabolical character Hua yong. Yes, he played dual personality and played it well. Has there ever been other series or movie with characters darker than him in playing such part, yes.

3. The customs, graphic and background theme and music and every other designs, is it the best? I won't comment on this. You be the judge.

4. Other miscellaneous aspects like the plot and what not is it ground breaking, hell no.


5: Is it a global success, no.

So before you call something a masterpiece in a public forum, why not use a different word like it is interesting, entertaining, brilliant etc. To be called A masterpiece is to be perfect.

The word Masterpiece is the art and everything relating to perfection and rarelity. A movie or series may be a masterpiece, but you may not like it. That is still valid. But to call something not deserving of the word Masterpiece, masterpiece is an injustice. That's just my point. But there's no crime in that if people don't see my point .

I post miscellaneous comments that has nothing to do with this series as my own comment. You can skip it if you don't want to read them. Like I said, when you call something masterpiece because you like it, and not for the art perfectection it is as the word means, well, it is your right to do so. No one will arrest you for it. But the downside is the word loses it's value. You may agree with me or not, I do not care. And I am not stopping anyone obsessing about this series because in 24days time, it will be over. People have used the word Masterpiece for practically every movie they have big interest in, in this MDL. That term is now overrated. To call ABO Desire a masterpiece is an insult to what that word actually means and also to the movies or series deserving that honor. Irony of all boy love series is that they select pretty and beautiful characters. But in real life, hardly will you see LGBT people, let alone beautiful ones. So the chances of all those romance being a reality is 2/100. It's a pity.
