Asian bl industry will take very big lesson from heated Rivalry. That lesson is, "it's not about casting the same troupes over and over again or doing fan service. The shit is overrated and boring. If you must adapt a novel, stay faithful to it. It's just that simple. And that is what Heated Rivalry did. I have only read the second book from the series, and I will tell you that the movie is so much better than the novel. And this is something you never get to see in any movie or series, ever. No wonder the series is doing so well. Imagine getting rated in IMDB for episode 5 10/10. Just WOW.

Christmas is in two days, and yet I have not watched a single Christmas movie. But I have practically watched Heated Rivalry multiple times and followed every reactions and podcast i could find in YouTube, tiktok X and Instagram. There's something the director put in that series that got everyone obsessed. Even straight guys are watching and commenting about it. Now if someone called that series a masterpiece, I will not have any problems with it. And this is just within two weeks of the show airing. It ruined Christmas for me this year but I am not complaining 😁
When you really like a series to the point you become obsessed, that obsession is valid. So all those still fascinated with this show, I can now relate. I have developed a new obsession and that is Heated rival. I didn't learn my lesson in reading the novel to an ongoing TV series like I made that mistake with ABO Desire and only to get bored when I was watching the series, the case is not with this heated rivals. I first saw the trailer, then the two episodes released last week. It wasn't enough so I read the novel. Now I am patiently waiting for tomorrow for episode 3. I am even watching behind the scenes in Instagram, YouTube and X. All the mistakes I made during ABO Desire, I am repeating it again, only this time, I ain't waiting for the series to complete before binging it. Don't even get me started on the sex scenes. If I am ever going to call any series master piece, I still will not, but this series is 10/10 for the best sex scenes 🥰😍🥰🥰🥰

It's surprising to see that this group is still active. Wattpad has stolen my interest over movies. It is audio novels I listen to now. I may have read about 40 bl novels in Wattpad since I discovered they have audio read along. Last two months. I don't know what series will be released that will make me go back to bl movies😢😢😢😢😢
I finally completed the series today. I didn't know it will take me this long to complete. Episode 16 wasn't bad. I was surprised to see them compile everything in that 45minutes. Kudos to the director. It wasn't bad. I remember reading comments when it ended as people were complaining and unsatisfied. They shouldn't be. This may actually be the best outcome for the series. They left it open in case they decide to continue with the series and have a second season. Was it a good watch, absolutely. But one big lesson for me, never read the novel first before starting the series. All that spoilers made the first 10 episodes to be boring. But on a second thought, the spoilers may not have been the problem because there are many movies that have novels and the movie is quite better than the novel. Anyway, it is what it is. Those that followed it weekly as it was airing may have had all the fun. Because even as I binged the whole 16 episodes, I didn't enjoy it much. It was like a chore I couldn't quite wait to complete. 💔
