I saw a lot of viewers questioning what every1 found so special about SM, what attracted them to him. To us especially foreigners he looks ordinary average guy right. I’ll try to make a more detailed review of SM, more precisely how the members see him. First of all his job, in S.Korea your social status is very important. And being a teacher/writer is super respectful. Ofc everybody thinks oh that guy must be really smart, wise. And one more important point. Since he is so educated and has impressive work experience, he must be earning good money with stable work. This in some way removes the burden from 'em, they can be sure that he is a self-sufficient independent man and that in a relationship there will be almost no quarrels based on financial issues, which naturally also means that u can build a long-lasting, strong relationship with him. SM might not have fit models body but he has pale 'clean' skin (without any scars tattoos etc). He adheres to a rather strict style of clothing (mostly shirts, tshirts with collars, bags, all the clothes are similar, restrained shades) quite formal I'd say. And his visuals. Yes, again it's not might be a model face, but kind, innocent, puppy-like. Personality too, not loud, non-conflict, calm, delicate, soft spoken, gives every1 a hope, doesn’t want to hurt any1😂 All of the above is very relevant and welcome in their country. These are their beauty standards, I’m not saying 100% ppl are like this but I believe majority prefers things like this so no wonder from the day one many of the contestants were interested in SM.
Shun has a psychological trauma since childhood, which, most likely, specialists did not work with. He finds it difficult to trust people, and especially people like Dai. He watches him from the side and sees how he reacts to people. He does not believe that with him he will realize his dream of a strong relationship with children. Dai, knowing Shun's past, does not try to approach him with slow steps and gain trust, but only proves that he cannot be relied up. He is too insistent towards Shun, I mean he must know that he has to be more gentle patient and keep the rest of the guys at a little distance. I get that Dai is super extroverted and cheerful, friendly to everyone, but for Shun it will all be perceived as if he is a fickle person who can betray you at any moment. Actually none of them are red flags. Just two very different people. Even if they end up together, they will constantly have to put in a lot of effort to make their relationship work.
I can tell MG is not interested in any participant other than his ex YJ but this is quite normal. I assume that at the beginning of their "dating" era they liked eo but had misunderstandings so decided break up. Therefore they both still have a little remained feelings so that’s why they act kinda jealous awkward with eo. But they have way too different personalities to reunite I think they know it well too so that’s why it didn’t happen (people said MG has a boyfriend from outside of the show well I’m happy for him). Btw I don’t dislike MG. I think he's kinda in his character. Being cocky overproud mysterious at the same time clumsy awkward funny (no wonder he's an actor :) Fsr I have a feeling that irl he has a nice personality maybe a bit complex to build a relationship with
My favourites are Hwi and SeungJin. I feel like everyone were shocked after finding out their ages and immediately stopped seeing them as potential partners. I feel so sorry for both of them. Even though they are very young I believe they have mature personalities. I mean how no one can feel their sincerity, straightforwardness and determination. At this point I won't even mind if these two sweethearts get close and become endgame 🤭🥰
