of course a story doesn’t need to be full of perfect characters to be enjoyed but the moral compass of this show is way too askew. The husband isn’t falling in love with Saeko while trapped in an abusive marriage. I can’t root for this couple engaging in marital infidelity at the expense of the suffering wife who has faultlessly support her husband.
Because of the ick factor around the central couple, I couldn’t enjoy the show because I didn’t find their interactions romantic.
Also, while there are anecdotal examples of personality changes after organ transplants, seeing vivid flash backs and recognising people from the organ donor’s life are too fantastical for me.
I can believe Kazu likes coffee and even plays piano. I just can’t believe he is able to say words only Yasuke would remember…
