Since this is from tv chosun, and they looveee makjang story 😅 I'll throw in another crazy theory.. what if the twin really is dead, and the husband develop this massive guilt for not connecting with him that he ended up having split personality. Both twins lives within 1 person, some sort of dr Jekyll Hyde thing...
My other theory is that 7years ago, FL attend the opening, and somehow ended up sleeping with theo and the daughter is his child.. the husband found out, but he loves her and the daughter too much that he stay silent. But once he has split personality, the brother execute his revenge... Whoaaaa my head getting warm with all these theories ahahhaa

Another important aspect in this case is the emotional n verbal abuse for long time. I'm abuse survival. During that time it messed up my mind so bad, that i dont recognize who i am anymore. You're functioning as mother, daughter, employee etc, but you're actually dead inside. And the wife part has turn into submissive roommate to say the least. You just couldn't feel romantic feeling to partner that abuse you. It lowers down your self esteem so much that little attention can seem special. In a way i can relate to the character. There's so many nuance related to abusive marriage. Yes, affair is not good way, but when your well of love has been drained, not even the abundance love for your kid can replace that empty part. So maybe affair is her survival mechanism, a way for her to build her self esteem so when its time to face the husband for divorce, she's no longer empty shell of human

I think its very realistic approach of the dynamic relationship between es n nc. The subtle change of emotion, the complexity of human brain n heart relation was well captured. Have seen similar cases irl, so i would kudos the writer to make it really resonate with me.
