I think Twisted Love would have been a more appropriate name for this movie. I understand the director's portrayal of an unconventional love story but this was seriously messed up. I felt sorry for Hidaka and how he was treated. He made himself vulnerable by exposing his true self and hoped for understanding and acceptance. He wanted to be Kitahara's dog, though I believe a dog would be treated better.

my reaction to the ending "wtf". by the matter of fact, my reaction to the movie was "wtf".…
In case you were not aware there is extended/deleted scenes on you tube that show a happy ending to this film.
