1000% correct, i wish we could've seen what it would've been without the changes, slightly a mess but still loved it, definitely not take seriously but enjoy kinda watch lol
"This drama is a commentary on Korean 'traditional' social norms on topics such as homosexuality, social status and career expectations, told in three different cinematic styles. Note, there is no explicit scene, not even kissing. I watched this without any prior knowledge of the plot, but went into it due to the small number of episodes but I was pleasantly surprised because it touched upon topics that I've mulled over in the past about human relationships, the impact of traditional social norms in our current and future generations, and which of these social norms are still relevant in order of us to see each other as what we really are. For those who've ever struggled with any of these, you'll find this drama worthwhile
For the second story I would like to note that, in almost every struggle towards breaking down boundaries in social status, it is those who are privileged that started the fight because they're the one who have been taught that they have power to make a change. Those will little power have also been told to keep their head down growing up and hence they rarely lead a reform, however the blame almost always falls on those with little power.
Third story is about living your dream and being alright not to fit into a box society calls 'growing up'.
The final message of the story talks about facing your 'dracula', or about facing your fears. I would add that facing one's fears is an internal factor for one's growth. The society where our story is in, is the external factor where all of us can grow. Both the society and ourselves need to face our fears so that we can all grow"
I also hope women's rights people truly aren't upset bc this draam is based of true events, they can't change what already happened...all for women's rights myself so if they can't understand this drama is showing reality then 😬
"In the opening shot, we see a woman whom will be an integral character later in the show, advocating for a woman’s right to openly express her sexuality within Japan cultural mores, shamelessly flaunts her armpit hair to people while saying love means accepting nature, to her it's an expression of feminity and identity. The drama depicts her as a symbol of strong female" LOVE THIS
Do yourself a favor, and don't be influenced by the comments on crime dramas on MDL. Most of the time, people…
I actually stay away from romance and stranger is my favorite drama of all time but this drama is no where close to being good with it's ridiculous nonsense and no where close to stranger, there's a lot more better dramas out there Than the nonsense they pull here, I'm on ep20 and let's just say I'm annoyed with this drama
I'm torn between keep watching and dropping this. It's interesting, clearly underrated and I really wanna know…
I'm torn too bc the story is good and I'm curious what's gonna happen and what happened to his bother exactly and who's behind it all but I'm on ep20 and rediculous situations keeps happening that makes no sense that it makes me wanna drop it
People should be more aware of naming every wlw couple "lesbian" lesbian is an person's sexual identity, its not a label for wlw couples. Bi/pan individuals are valid and deserve representation in wlw relationships🏳️🌈
Girl's love is wlw which includes lesbian, although It's better to say GL than lesbian cause some wlw representation one of the characters could be bi/pan amd one lesbian so it's wlw/GL unless they both say they're lesbain, mind you i haven't seen it yet i saw a post that shows a wlw couple in this -being said as a lesbian myself
