Done watching ep1 & 2. I really enjoy watching this. Like there are serious moment but also comedy here and there. I love that. The cinematography is also great. I also like the ost & bgm. Its like watching a foreign drama. Definitely will look forward for the next eps. May the drama continuously deliver good quality

Ok I already done watching until ep 14. As someone who loves NY tandem too, this is truly my honest comment. Overall, I think this drama is like any other Thai drama where it has part that I like and part that I don’t like.
The filmography, the color tone & the OST are good. It looks great to me because it looks natural as possible without CGI that sometimes can be distracting. The overall editing also looks fine. I like how they make the politic/history part of the story easier to understand. Personally, I’m not really a fan of period drama that shows heavy politic/history. I tend to feel bored and lost when it became too much. I also like how they insert topic like homosexuality and mental health. Of course, it’s not really mentioned in details or maybe have incorrect info but it still appreciated. But it is understandable tbh because this story happens in the era where the level of knowledge is not as advance as today. People back then also live in a patriarchy society where women are being look down, men are oppressive and seen as better being. I like how they are being realistic like that.
However, personally, I think this drama can be so much better if they just focus on making a serious thrill mystery investigation drama. But here, they are mixing a lot of genre and that making this drama to become a bit chaotic. They insert COMEDY and choose a ROMCOM kind of route for Luang indra & Pudsorn relationship. You know those funny bickering and all. It making you confused because of the mixed emotion showed. In one moment its serious and then suddenly BAM it’s a comedy... I already got uneasy feeling the moment I read the statement from the production team, saying that they decide to make this drama to be "flavorful" because they are listening to the audience opinion (it seems like the current audience prefer less stressful drama and prefer romance).
I can understand their intention wanting to satisfy the audience & I won’t lie that the comedy they show also quite entertaining too (there are part that is really funny), BUT I think this is the time where they should have NOT listen to the audience at all. You can feel they are trying so hard to create room for romance. Then come the most important part --- Luang Indra character become messy due to this. Not only Luang Indra has to be someone cold, grieving, holding grudge, with harsh personality now on top of that he also has to show cute funny side too??? Although not totally the same with GRGR, it have few similarity. Eg: the lovebirds get separated and the ML turn into a rich guy. I read this long ago from thai fan, In the original GRGR novel the ML & FL got married and have baby. But they didnt add that in the drama. Then there is the sweet scene where they MC lying down face beside each other also similar with GRGR.
