I know the summary had them skipping story and conquering those two places. I just can't recall any scene between the kid and Simu. No goodbye. It felt like an emptying out of their connection to me. The editing might not help. I've noticed a few scenes where the continuity between frames was off. I just wonder if they had to cut this down...

No one vanished. He came to youzhou for himself too. And he didn’t gave up anything. He came to void to visit…
Ok. I mean I haven't read the source material. Just from a viewer's perspective it's landing strangely. And he did say you could be away for years. When you get back I could be dead. So, he's left everything and everyone and his mission for years. Perhaps things will become clearer in regards to his motives later on.

Can anyone explain the lack of continuity? Like so much time passed in a badly illustrated summary and then the little boy was nowhere to be seen? All the people from the ML's life vanished. It's like he just gave up all his friends and every desire he had to protect Liang. I get he's in love... but it's still odd. It was like the show just missed 10 chapters.

Best comment ever! It's pure fever dream, and i'm so here for it.

She is antagonistic because of her parents. The way their marriage turn out.
I understand that's why she doesn't want to be in a loveless marriage. I was talking more so about why she started hitting his chest when she saw him, and how she's been talking to him. As a rule, I don't like stroppy/dramatic FL leads. Maybe that's why I haven't liked those bits.
On Positively Yours Jan 18, 2026
Interesting start! I enjoyed the first episode, especially the chemistry between the two leads. But it was a bizarre decision to leave behind money (if you know you know). From then on the FL's attitude toward the ML seemed really strange. Super antagonistic when there was no reason for her to be. Even how she approached him end of ep 1, like what is your deal lady xD. He hasn't done anything.

Also, no shade to those who love a party and a drink, but the intense focus on alcohol in this drama wasn't my bag. If she works for a beer company, then it makes sense for her enjoy a glass and brew it herself etc. But she was acting like an alcoholic and binge drinking into blackouts. Korea and Japan are infamous for being super conscious of the health concerns around obesity (that's the nice way of putting it). But nobody seems to address the health issues associated with drinking, like ever. She was drinking like a fish while pregnant and she didn't raise that as a concern.

I'll give it a couple more episodes. Fingers crossed it improves from ep 2.

ah yes the typical 90% alcholism and drinking korean drama how surpirsing and original
I thought the same xD. Plus the toilet humor, don't forget about that.

I feel it thought The Mystery World reflects the main leads mystery about what happened with his dad. Well according…
Ooo, maybe. We shall see :)

I understand your point about software developers which is potential concept for dramas to come and that's also…
So true. I hope future dramas experiment a little with this. We've had a lot of short dramas where the lead somehow finds themselves in a video game. But LBL feels more realistic somehow. It's handled well. I love the idea that we'd chose to be part of history... I wonder if I'll get to explore a VR xianxia world one day. Haha.

Love this show! I wasn't a fan of Shine on me, and I had to drop Glory. So I've been struggling to find something that gets me coming back every episode, and this is it for me.

The cinematography and coloring is beautiful. Sets too. The acting is good. Music is well-placed.

My only gripe is that the VR element made this story so unique in the first few episodes. I wish they'd done more and incorporated that into the main plot. Maybe we'll find out if there's a deeper link there. If it was just a premise for them to meet and forget their worries--that's wasted potential. I will say that the magic/history of the lanes is starting to connect to the history in the VR game. It gives the story depth and a sense of coziness for want of a better word. Again, though, the office politics etc is a little dull in comparison to the game world. It would've made more sense to make them both software developers. Imagine if they'd done something more Westworld without the horror? I think there's a market for idol dramas to be a little bolder.

DLF?
I'm sorry. I remembered When Destiny Brings Demon-Long For Fish as Demon Loves Fish. The title was too long. My poor memory just shortened it. Haha!

well i guess we have different opinion. for me there are intense chemistry between RSB and LJL. i can feel it…
Fair enough. Each to their own :) I think it depends with ZLH. I thought he was great opposite Bai Lu. Btw, I do like Neo as an actor. I loved him in I am Nobody. He also has incredible comic timing. I just don't like his (barely there, lips not moving) kisses.

I really wanted to love this. There's a lot that I can appreciate. The costumes are beautiful, and I appreciate that the script is original. The plot and character development is also pretty tight.

But the pace is killing me. It's like watching paint dry. There's an awful lot of monologuing and 90% of the dialogue involves scheming. The romance is almost non-existent except for the odd eyebrow raise or cold smile, which makes me wish people would stop getting botox.

I love Neo as an actor, but he also falls down in romantic scenes (just my opinion). He pulls off the whole elegant and beautiful gentleman incredibly well. But I've never believed he has any desire for his on-screen partner. The difference between him and ZLH in Kunning Palace or Arthur Chen in DLF is miles.

I am a fan of the sound effects, though xD. This might be a mid-drop for me. Hope it ends on a high for everyone else, though.

ML, Hong Ye, is awesome. I love the demon realm so far. Beautiful world building and music. But I'm finding the plot/relationship development inconsistent. I understand HY feeling muddled when it comes to XY, but it feels like they went from strangers to friends or something else really fast. A couple of episode the FL was treating HY as annoying, then she was suddenly head over heels. And I've no idea how we got there. I think this might have suffered from an editing issue. I'm also coming straight from Vendetta of An which is a masterclass in story development, so my expectations might be a bit high xD.

kind of disgusted a show about comp sci-ish majors actively used ai in the drama. the reasoning/joke was garbage…
My guess is you don't actually know any software developers. Software developers use AI to code with now. My best friend, who works in the industry, literally said that if he doesn't learn how to use it, he won't have a job in two years. Also chatgpt isn't going to sponsor some obscure teen k-drama. That would be a waste of their time and resources. This isn't Subway we're talking about. It's estimated to be a trillion dollar+ industry. Brainless comments.

I feel the love though! I think if you're measuring it by purely physical touch/affection, then yes it's not really…
I totally get what you're saying. But I'm not expecting them to suddenly have an out-out smoochy relationship. I'm just a touch confused atm. As for the 10k scene, I agree! But given ML's personality, I'm not totally convinced he wouldn't do that for someone else. This show is still on-going, and I'll keep watching whatever. But currently, it really does read as platonic to me. I'm glad you felt the burn though ;)

It might not be for you, and yes, everyone has their preferences. Fair enough. I personally don't see any problem with an 8 year age gap. There are obvious exceptions to this, like someone in their teens etc. But honestly, 40 and 48? 28 and 36... who cares. Also, would people bat an eyelid if the roles were reversed, and the guy was nearly 40 but the woman in her mid-20's? Maybe, but probably not. I think there's so much bias against woman who're over 35. It's like people expect them to stop expecting romance or love. They shouldn't even pretend xD. I'm not saying you're saying this btw. But that general bias does get exhausting as a woman.
