They are waisting her youth to do only variety shows . Even if she doesn’t act as a main FL she can also do second if the drama is an S+ drama with a stellar cast or a good TV drama , instead she films one drama every other year and keeping her doing variety.

There is no rumor right now for the FL, Shen yue was rumored last year to be part of it with Fan Cheng Cheng as ML. Now the rumored ML are different so maybe the FL will also be different.
