The scene where Phoon tells them about his past is the same as in the novel, he says "it's my story" and then it cuts to afterwards, but it's heavily implied in both the series and novel, that he told them everything, or North wouldn't have asked about Fun like he did. At least that's how I understood it. But I agree with you that they could have made the timeline a bit clearer. Even in season one the timeline was a bit confusing.

Oh, I know that! ;) And that's the thing, he played his role so well/he was so well written, that even though he was one of the worst people in the drama you still feel pity for him at the end. For me that is a sign of a very well written/casted villain: when they make you feel something different besides hate for their character but when you see the world isn't always only black and white. Though Marquis Pingjin for sure was very drak grey.

Omg Marquis Pingjin is such a well written character/villain that even I felt sad for him when Zang Hai told him he just got close to him for revenge. All in all this show is very well written. Absolutely love it, it's a 10/10.

I tried watching something else just now, a new series that recently dropped, but it just can't fill the hole Khemjira left... I can't move on 😭 nothing compares to this masterpiece 😭 the other series first episode was good and all, but it just wasn't Khemjira? 😭

I want to give this a 100/10! It's one of the best series I have ever watched! I have no words other than this. This ending today is leaving a big hole in my heart and I don't know yet how or with what to fill it... probably with a lot of rewatches. It's a masterpiece.

Yes, I agree! Thomas did come on a bit too strong 🤣 And I'm sure that Keng choosing someone else for the first dinner, when everyone was so sure it was going to be Namping, was also planned beforehand. They wanted to launch their ships so they had to create some tension between them and everyone else. But watching the reality show made me adore Keng and Namping even more. That general and his wife fits them so much 🤭

I have a strong feeling that First not choosing anyone was scripted. I'm sure a lot of that show itself was scripted. They need the suspense to make people/fans more interested. Also First won that trip for two to Phuket, he took Tle there. I guess that's when they got 'official'.

Not sure where you're are getting your "storytelling rules" from, but they are neither the law nor universally binding. The author can do whatever they want in their story. Kachen was introduced just as late in the novel, as he was here. And he is not the hero that saves the day, that you seem to make him out to be neither is he the one to resolve anything for them. Pharan got it covered, he's got a plan. They just need a bit of help, like an extra set of hands or another brain to pick that knows the supernatural. And in the novel he is mostly bringing his connections and his money. Also a little bit of positive mental support for Pharan, as he is his best friend.

He is Pharans best friend. I think I might have skipped their backstory in the novel as I just wanted to know how it all ends, I was speed reading a lot 😅 anyway, he is really rich and also involved in the whole supernatural thing, not sure if he is also a Shaman though. He also taught Jet, mostly how to be naughty/be like a teenager in contrast to Pharans strictness 😅 In the novel it's even mentioned that he found a girl for Jet to loose his virginity to. He helps them break the curse, though mostly via his connections, like getting them a helicopter to go to a place, he is also the one who finds Luang Pu Kesem in the novel. Not sure if the whole helicopter thing will happen in the series, as they already found the monk.

I absolutely loved today's episode! Namping was killing it! I love the friendship between Khem, Jet and Charn so much, they are true friendship. 🥹 And the way Charn looks at Jet, I'm swooning. Thankfully Master came in time to save Khem. I hope they don't change the way they broke the curse in the novel, that dagger and the warning it came with makes me nervous. I'm so happy we got Kachen! I was worried they might have written him out of the series, but here he is! And it's Net! 😍 Now we have to wait another 7 days again for the next episode 😭 and only 2 more episodes and it's completed, I don't want it to end 😭
