The Land of Warrior (TLOW) & Douluo Continent (DC) Timelines Explanation
Timeline 1 (T1) - Teenager years, ended with the final tournament, team separation and 5-year reunion promise. Timeline 2 (T2) - 5 years training Timeline 3 (T3) - Adult years, start with their reunion until the end.
The Land of Warriors - Start with T2 until T3. T1 will be shown as flashbacks - Fully adapted from the original work's storyline
Douluo Continent - Only cover T1 - Ended with a cliffhanger - Different storyline from the original work - Some characters have been changed (Ex: Hu Liena and Qian Renxue) - Same power system but some Tang San's skills also has been removed/changed
TLOW vs DC - Different T1 storyline which is the foundation of the story - No need to watch DC to understand TLOW - No need to watch TLOW to get the answer regarding DC's plothole/ending - Both dramas aren't dependent on each other
One of the reason why I never recommend to watch DC first...Because it have different storyline and characterisation....…
For easier understanding, Soul Land has 3 timelines...

Now, for DC... They cover T1 but change the storyline, characterisation and some characters too. Most noticeable Hu Liena and Qian Renxue... They're not supposed to be the same character... DC keep the power system but also removes some Tang San's skills. DC also ended with a cliffhanger ending.
And for TLOW... They cover all timelines... But, they start with T2 and will end with T3... Meanwhile, T1 will be shown as flashback bits by bits by the characters. TLOW is also faithful towards the storyline and the characterisation... It could be said TLOW is the live action of the Donghua... (TLOW's T1 storyline isn't the same as DC's)
As you can see, both dramas have totally different storylines. TLOW didn't continue where DC left off. It was only marketed as DC Season 2 (Probably because that's the original plan)... But TLOW is solely Donghua's adaptation while DC can be treated as a spinoff...
The cast aren't doing much of a promotion in this drama. The male lead is even filming another drama. Seems like…
That's weird because for me they're actively promoting this drama... TLOW's Weibo also keeps reposting all the cast's posts about TLOW... There are four events: a Meet-and-Greet anniversary, a fan meeting, a press conference, and one by support actors... And that's just for this week... Not included all the photoshoots...

For the redemption part... You can decide later in the final episode... Like every drama, the villain must have a reason and backstory... I can't forgive her even after knowing her backstory because her actions involved the lives of innocent people. But, some fans feel sorry for her, totally depends on the person...

Since the Donghua also promotes TLOW on Weibo... It could be that the author and animator give some suggestions... Explaining Xiao Wu live in TS's Spiritual Sea is much easier than explaining Xiao Wu live in the ring or soul bone... Overall, as of now I really didn't have any complaints regarding all the additional details/scenes that TLOW added... So happy~
Going deeper into the drama... You are going to understand two things... Why Tang San is the symbol of loyalty for Donghua fans... And why Xiao Wu get crowned as Goddess of Donghua... So everyone, please enjoy their journey~ Happy watching!

I’m not gonna comment anything on that… 🤣🤣🤣 But Live-Act indeed pampered us with that Blue Grass bracelet… Because the novel and donghua doesn’t have that… They’re truly separate with no contact for years… The pain… 🙂
