Actually it was " sleuth of Ming Dynasty" Another Chinese Bromance mystery drama, In this drama there was one case....where a Princess played two characters in order to execute her revenge plan.....in that she was brewing a conspiracy to assassinate the emperor coz of her past hatred and so she hid her identity and remained crossdressed as a guard and at other times when someone would go to visit her in her palace, she did switch to her Princess clothes back in time to appear there...and no one doubted her until last moment.... But you are right as There is big difference between princess & empress .....Empress holds more authority under her..she cannot possibly go out without guards....😅

Just look at those people who like to watch romantic dramas and since right now they are not getting any good romance dramas so they are coming here on this page to vent out their frustration.... I mean it's alright, if it's not like MLC or other types of Bromance dramas .....they are very few Bromance dramas in general...when MLC dropped last year...I was super happy for that too coz it's was also Bromance ...my fav genre.... surprisingly it was liked by lot of romance lovers also cause it had big appeal and story focused alot on emphasising the meaning of Some very important principles in life like letting go, forgiveness & cum bromance , the trio being close confidants of each other ... comparatively that drama could appease a wider audience...but people need to understand that this drama is adapted from a novel which in terms of seriousness should not be compared to Auspicious Lotus by Teng Ping....coz the genre of Auspicious Lotus was different overall than the genre of this novel....that novel was precisely focused on cases, and a lot of idealistic themes.....The white cat novel doesn't share the same theme..... Auspicious Lotus novel originally didn't had any bromantic part in the novel the characters were just very good friends but they toned up the bromance in the drama and mind you that it was shot in early bl ban era ..white cat legend was shot in late bl ban era...ofcourse they are seeing how bromance dramas have problem airing so they don't want make things that obvious and evn MLC wasn't promoted by iqiyi coz of heavy emphasis on the Bromance part before it became over the top popular ..... They are slowly testing the waters by sneakingly releasing one or two Bromance dramas every year since bl ban was imposed.... I mean the people who are comparing the quality of this drama with other dramas Because of the level of seriousness are just trying to find lame excuses for not liking it....coz the novel itself is a frivolous and light weight one then why would they alter the fundamental theme in the drama.... I heard some people saying that ep 11 was a filler but I didn't feel like that....this drama is not like MLC or league of nobleman where there is serious investigation of case in almost every episode .....this is more chill and relax sort of case solving drama like there is nothing wrong bringing a comical aspect in case solving plots with bickering and bantering of the hexahedron .....I mean like that how they have put the Wang Qi parent part in ep 11 to give us more frolicsome insight on their friendship....tbh ep 11 wasn't fruitful from case POV but it was not that bad also...I found it soo funny when Wang Qi was narrating his childhood incidents to his friends...the way they were talking to each other is so relatable for me ....whenever all of the mains are together they really radiate friend-coded energy ..... Another part that I found cute and exhilarating at the same time was when Alibaba says to Chen Shi that "your accent sounds weird"...and CS replies back "you are the one with weird accent".😂 I would love to see more of their playful interactions like these with each other rather than only case solving .....😍 For me this is amusing....so the drama is 💯 enjoyable for me as it's an agglomeration of humor, bromance, friendship alongwith detective plot with superb fight scenes....

After watching all 6 eps...I can see they have already become close beyond my expectations....i thought censorship will rob us off good bro-bro friendship moments but delightfully I am proven soo so wrong..... I hope to be proven completely wrong by the end of the drama ......I really wish to see them becoming best bros and comrade in arms.....there is no homoeroticity in here but still censorship sucks so kinda afraid..... But I can see LB has become very attached to CS....Its more than obvious how he keeps telling CS to join him in the Court of judicial review evn though CS feels like he is not of much help and will add troubles for him but LB doesn't think like that ....as he considers CS a genuine friend who he trusts undoubtedly and thus also discloses his gloomiest past to CS..... Exactly....I also feel that way...I don't know why some people are disappointed saying that it lacks seriousness as it's slapstick comedy ...but I don't feel like that ...I mean according to me they are all soo ridiculously funny ...but sometimes this kind of humor is also needed in the dramas....not to mention that the anime was itself cartoonoid mixed with facetiousness and tinge of absurdity at some places....they have made it a lot many times better in the drama.... Not to forget, this is just the start, it will get better as story moves forward. Tbh I like how naive is Chen Shi, even though he' not a smart character but he is such a kind-hearted and good Samaritan soul and the way he's got the sinew to defend strangers even though he can't defend himself but I admire his benevolent nature.... Also I like the chemistry of two male leads, there seems to be good affinity build-up btw the LB and CS.... hopefully we get more bromance....I all in for it🤗🥰

Comedy and humor is so spot on... suffused with hues of strong brotherhood & solidarity......
I am really loving the drama😍❤️....I needed this kind of drama for once in my life......so blessed to be alive to see this day in the Censorship era😂lol😭
I hope to be proven completely wrong by the end of the drama ......I really wish to see them becoming best bros and comrade in arms.....there is no homoeroticity in here but still censorship sucks so kinda afraid.....
But I can see LB has become very attached to CS....Its more than obvious how he keeps telling CS to join him in the Court of judicial review evn though CS feels like he is not of much help and will add troubles for him but LB doesn't think like that ....as he considers CS a genuine friend who he trusts undoubtedly and thus also discloses his gloomiest past to CS.....
No matter how dumb & naive CS is at present but I have to agree he really has a very high EQ ...like how when he realises that LB transformed into a cat..he didn't abandon him , and didn't ran away in fear ...instead took the ladder to reach up at the roof and talk to him , console him and assure him at the same time that he isn't a demon in his eyes....

I mean I seriously sometimes can't comprehend with people finding out flaws in places where things are already impeccable....like what else do they expect them to show instead this when the theme of story is originally focused on humor + case solving with crisp of bromance...then just chill and enjoy if it's up to your taste and if not drop it....whose telling them to waste their time here LMAO😂 ......
And also bro you r 💯 right about LB being treated unfairly by others and the way he develops a soft spot for CS because he is probably the first kindest soul he's ever met whose ready to understand things from his perspective, not being judgemental and believing in those rumours abt cat demon havoc that is wreaked by some human in disguise....
LB really needs a friend like CS whose both warm-hearted and hilarious at the same time with his dynamic naive-headedness and Innocence...
I really like their bond....I also don't care what other people say abt this....i had been waiting for this show since a long time.....
Trailer was out last year only and by seeing the trailer anyone could tell what is the theme of the story...its predestined to be more of comedy + a bit seriousness where it's needed later for the character development of each character but it's strange how people are trying to find seriousness when it just started ...it hasn't even reached the climax yet and the story & plot is technically supposed to be a light - hearted one and more accentuating on six bros struggling to solve cases one by one, developing in the process and growing with each other
Not to forget, this is just the start, it will get better as story moves forward.
Tbh I like how naive is Chen Shi, even though he' not a smart character but he is such a kind-hearted and good Samaritan soul and the way he's got the sinew to defend strangers even though he can't defend himself but I admire his benevolent nature....
Also I like the chemistry of two male leads, there seems to be good affinity build-up btw the LB and CS.... hopefully we get more bromance....I all in for it🤗🥰
