You need to watch that scene again cuz it seems you are confused a bit. She touches her sword which brings some flashes of her memories which surged Bu Yeon's energy and after sudden flashes she accidently touches the lamp (which was already off) just after that which lits it again. When Ukkie see that he questions her whether she did that herself she tells that memory and energy connection thing to him except for touching the sword. He asks her to do it again to confirm that and when she tries to on the lamp again she fails but not completely..... The energy she puts to put it off wasn't enough but they have shown it like it was about to go off......
What about Naksu's sword? Didn't she start to regain memories when she touched the sword in Wook's house, like…
That's the biggest confusion that has been created by Hong sisters. After that yin and yang's jade thing they have confused the characters itself (both Ukkie & Naksu) about Bu Yeon's memories being hers or the memories that she see by touching object. Even if she would have told Ukkie about the sword touching thing then again it would have created confusion like the one with jade thing.... This will only get cleared after when either Ukkie or Bu yeon will see the blue mark in her eyes (which is coming soon this week...) or when Bu Yeon regains her memory with the tree.
Whatever the way they would use to unveil these things, the only thing I care about is there reactions towards each other after that...🥺🥺

In previous episodes as well whenever she is gaining a piece of her memory she is able to use her powers and this is enough to prove it...... But the thing you said earlier is what making me going crazy about why Bu Yeon's body would reject Yeong's soul? Its still not clear to me whether Bu Yeon's soul is completely gone or is she still alive?? Its just that her soul does not have her energy or something........ It becomes confusing sometimes🤕🤕
I also think that scene with Park Jin and Kim Do Ju about the two chesnuts drowning... Not a good sign.
