Uh actually it is. BJT’s saliva was all over Small town prescription ( the drama that Xz is currently filming) for months. He must have been embarrassed when the producers stated that Xz was the only actor considered for the role at the booting ceremony. They even confirmed that Xz already agreed to take on the role a year before. Yet BJT was sending out drafts that he was gonna star in it all the way until about 2 weeks before filming.
To not copy scene by scene, lift CGI directly, play exactly the same music in the same scene. Is it too much to ask? It’s just pure laziness on those involved

It’s just plain laziness on their part. The anime was great, this scene was iconic. Let’s just copy it. This series is flopping so badly in China because of these exact reasons. Funny how dedicated these international fans are trying to wash it though
The cheap cosplay version of Soul land / Douluo Continent. What were they thinking copying the anime right down the T even playing the same song at exactly the same scenes. What is even the point of this live action remake? I’ll go watch the anime which is 100 times better
Currently watching this drama and I’m really loving it. The plot is interesting and fast. The characters are well written. It really takes you back to 1970s China, their dreams and struggles. Xiao Zhan’s acting has improved leaps and bounds and as the main lead he carries this drama beautifully. You’ll laugh with him and cry with him. His acting is a joy to watch and has definitely progressed to the highest levels. Since cctv, the national tv channel in china bought the rights to this drama, it’s being aired prime time and are actively promoting it. The ratings are doing very well so far and I can see why.
As for those complaining about frivolous things, this is a serious drama depicting life in 1970s china. It’s not an idol drama so please don’t treat it as one.
Xiao Zhan really is something special. I have never followed an actor or actress in the 40+ years of my life. He has so much talent and charisma. He just draws you in no matter whether he’s acting, singing, his interviews and just being himself. He doesn’t need the constant marketing like other c-ent celebrities and is constantly being smeared and attacked by his competitors, but their attempts are futile.
It is well known that Xiao Zhan has many obsessive haters who spend a lot of their time on the internet and social media criticising him and his works. One thing they love to do is pretend to be fans and write long essays about how they are dissatisfied with him, his career choices and his real fans. There are some prime examples of these “pretend fans” below. Sometimes I do wonder why they have so much time on their hands and why spend so much of their time complaining about someone they don’t like and a drama that hasn’t even aired yet.
Watched 4 episodes of this and really enjoying it so far. It’s fast paced, funny and sweet. No annoying side character so far. The acting is great too, which is refreshing for a Chinese rom com. Impressed
I am currently watching this now and it’s shocking how much Xiao Zhang’s acting has improved in such a short space of time. Plus he has such charisma that he blows everything one else out of the water
