I thought she was going to wake up with her 17 year old "mind" so she'd act the bright enthusiastic self, but her younger self traveled to the future! and both of them will interact together, like a reversed Longing Heart, that's cool

atleast it's better than forceful encounter, ie they remember their past and fall in love just becasue they think they loved each other as kids
here, both happened to be in the same place at the same time, Pyeong Gang becasue she had a mission and On Dal becasue it was his backyard. but it wasn't love at 1st sight, he was about to leave her too

on the other hand I would say what he went through should've made him more "mature", he did live all of his 30+ (if not 40) years on his own, he wasn't hidden in a hole not knowing how the world works.. he didn't suddenly get his powers, he could've tried to go on a far away mountain to learn control
there's his "amnesia" so he could think he's young but it just a cheap move from the writer to start with a point zero character, that's why I mentioned they needed a younger actor, then if he could've lived his unguided confused life till the point he could mature by observing the world
I've seen many sci fi and supernatural themes in my life, there's no right and wrong but usually they mature faster and get jaded instead of pouty and whiny
even though they have a "childhood connection" I'm glad their "love" story is slowly building up as a "random fateful encounter"
honestly Jisoo is so UWU yet strong that's he's perfect for the role of Dal, and Sohyun is kinda like her nokdu role but she's also so different that it's always a pleasure to see her~

with 12eps I always feel like the producers knew they couldn't drag the screenplay for 16eps so they cut the ep count hoping it would be enough but usually it becomes even more hollow this way and as you said the 4eps I have seen are in a wash, rinse and repeat pattern that hasn't added anything to the growth sci fi's are always a hit or miss and this is closer to the later ;(
I might be the only one, but the ML doesn't act his age. he acts like he's in his teens or 20s, always pouting, brooding, storming out in the middle of a convo, losing control and his temper...
and the FLs interest in him is weird, it doesn't feel like she wants answers but she's too invested..
I don't know if that was what the writer aimed for but they needed a younger cast or better written personalities
