with 12eps I always feel like the producers knew they couldn't drag the screenplay for 16eps so they cut the ep count hoping it would be enough but usually it becomes even more hollow this way and as you said the 4eps I have seen are in a wash, rinse and repeat pattern that hasn't added anything to the growth
sci fi's are always a hit or miss and this is closer to the later ;(

I wish this was about Choi Yoo Na and Lee Son trying to run away together ;)

I might be the only one, but the ML doesn't act his age. he acts like he's in his teens or 20s, always pouting, brooding, storming out in the middle of a convo, losing control and his temper...

and the FLs interest in him is weird, it doesn't feel like she wants answers but she's too invested..

I don't know if that was what the writer aimed for but they needed a younger cast or better written personalities

SFD is Six Flying Dragons, 50eps and WDH is a person Woo Do Hwan and he played in My Country, 16eps

of course, it has my fav 3, kim sohyun, jisoo and kim hee jung~~

I think that's the problem though, jdramas have alot to offer but they seem to shy away from trying to be aesthetically pleasing, I don't get why either
it's not like I want them to film in the most expensive locations with fancy cgi, but idk maybe cameras are expensive for them? or they like to keep the "original feel" and never try something new because they worry people won't like the change? or they just don't know how..

like I personally think japanese traditional clothes and make up are the prettiest, so historicals should be beautiful but they look washed out
and even kdramas aren't always as pretty as mr sunshine, but it's nice if they were ;p
someone did recommend that to me before, and I see it's the fl from the phsyco drama, now I have more reason to watch it

I liked how it was the most "normal" and mature romcom, and ryan gold honestly is one of the most caring mls, plus I appreciated how the fl had her own career and independence, so their coupling felt equal, usually the romcoms mls are too controlling ;)
again I like light, dark, slow, fast, I have a big range ;p
though talking about Uncanny, my problem was that it tried to be all of those things, it was too light, too dark, too fast and too slow xD

that's why I thought he was a little petty, like he didn't trust his wife enough that he had to do things behind her back

Empress Ki was a gray area for me, if we only count the 1st half I'd have agreed but IDK, I feel like she lost some of her substance in the 2nd part~
