Exactly, remembering everything can become a curse, so forgetting things is necessary but just because we don’t remember it it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen or that our brain subconsciously holds into them
I’d even be happy if any of them writes another drama, lately everyone is following trends and no one is trying to make new things anymore
While watching I was full of theories and after it ended even now I keep thinking g about the possibilities🥹
I might’ve rewatched this again 3 years ago, and this time I realized the concept was heavily on “memory”, what happens when they’re removed, and how important it is for our “personality”, we’re not ourselves without them, whether they’re sad or heartbreaking memories, we are us cuz of it
For example, whenever she was with the inn manager, she looked mature and smart because she had dealt with that business side, but other times seemed like her fire time being in big gatherings with the ahjummas so unlike the other widower, she was always like a kid around adults
That’s so true, for one they taught her no one would want her, but they also drilled it into them that they would be shunned for it
Meanwhile ml never experienced that mindset so he was so casual about it
So for her she was always that young girl forced to marry a ghost, so in reality she was just forcefully adopted
I do agree with suho, once the female character became the driving force, he had to take the backseat quite often, tho that’s the “plot hole” because he did have a lot of things and power to do as an “officer ” but mixing in his “older brother” that had more power than him and their overall uncomplex evil plan, there wasn’t much for him to do beside looking adorable
The left hand man wanting to control the king is old, but to have the king fake his support and have his own plan is nice
And the minister of finance’s wife, is the widowed queen’s niece? While yeohwa’s brother was also on the kings side, and the king new his dad was poisoned but no one believed him
Now they know cuz of suho, it’s such a nicely done plot progression 👍🏻
The son/ie husband could’ve faked his death cuz he didn’t want to marry someone he didn’t know, while his dad wanted yeohwa cuz of her brother
Both grew up too fast, yet still have glimmers of naiveness that comes from that sudden maturity
Overall every character feels so well developed, it’s sadly rare these days
I want both to see their cute side now, they’d be too cute🥹💖
Same goes with kiwoo 42 and yeonseon 25, but he has a really soft approach and she’s smart as she was raised by yeohwa well to be an independent woman
couples in dramas that aren’t romance focused are the best🤣
This is overall so cute, so refreshing and so much fun🥹
He also has a cute sense of humor always chuckling on the side, mainly cuz of hani🤣
And hani is so well balanced here. She’s perfectly elegant but also adorably quirky✨
It’s nice cuz it breaks the whole historical repetition, she’s the badass one, and hani is effortlessly funny and comical
But this was dumb as a result, he didn’t realize it was her reincarnated, twice, he didn’t realize who the kid that “planned” this was, after 500 years he had no clues, the murder mystery was just repeated so were many other scenes, and everything else was a filler with the side characters
They could’ve spend more time on their relationship and cute dates or even actually helping romances rather than just shooting arrows, cuz the plot was a zero
