I'd say this was a perfect time loop story, it was only one and a half hours and so much happened! usually it takes movies one hour to get to the point and then they spend the rest of the time "wrapping things up".
but here as soon as Joon Yeong leaves the airport things start to move along. and what's more thrilling than a father repeating the death of his daughter every day while he can't change it? a more desperate guy shows up and claims to be stuck it the same time loop.
as a time loop enthusiast, I usually only see 1 character stuck in time so the story is only about them, but this really kept me on my toes with how the story progressed. and even though they were technically repeating the same hour every time, the scene development differently and well.
also, since it is a time loop I think it's the only acceptable time to be twisty without trying too hard just to be "unique".
since it is my 2nd watch I'd say it's worth a rewatch, it's actually more intriguing when you know what will happen. also the acting was amazing from everyone.

even if a super star like Lay freaks out about not being "perfect", then so can I -not be perfect I mean, not the freaking out part xD
this show also makes me want to continue "learning" and challenge myself to do things out of my comfort zone.

I loved how Xiumin just chose to show his private life like that. he showed his 1st new apartment, his 1st housewarming party with the members, and his normal hangouts with his friends, and his adventures with his childhood friends. and that just highlights the type of person he is, sweet and down to earth with a close knitted friendship.

Started it for Jisoo, Stayed for Amber
Amber was the only rational person in this drama, she was understanding, pure, nonjudgmental and she went after what she wanted but she didn't take hwan's bs and called him out for it, honestly I wonder how she was written by that same writer xDeveryone else just loves to inflict pain and suffering onto themselves and call it "love".
yeji loved to play the victim card "why are you back to ruin my peace", "I'm the most miserable woman on earth"
hwan was crazy enough to say "I want to ruin my life" for someone who keeps refusing him, "I want to suffer", the dude had alot of problems ;/
jin was all sad and wallowing in self pity and he diverted all his angst onto controlling others
the mom is honestly so distant she doesn't deserve to be a mom
and the dad looks nice but again yet he only used hwan as his caregiver then yeji as the substitute
yeji's mom is living through the pain that was "unshcokingly" done becasue of yeji
yeji's aunt is crazy and overdramatic
and they had the audacity of wasting time on the side side characters and their messed up romance
so basically Amber is the only normal person, she's sweet, fun loving and she's adorable and naturally cute and happy, the only time hwan genuinely smiled was when he was around her.
in the end they just added more ridiculous plot line after the other and they literally ended it with "I shouldn't have done that" ;/
yeji was wrong for accepting the marriage but she was even more wrong for fueling hwan's feelings and then she had the audacity to act as if hwan only "noticed" her good deeds while she was the one leading him on ;/
and with everything, in the last ep they were crying over how they can't be together, just to let them reunite and then go back to "we can't be together" and cry some more. it should've ended by ep31 but it should've just stayed as a noona romance with small doses of brotherly rivalry like a normal kdrama xD
this is what happens when they hire a horrible writer with zero planning skills...

the cinematography and the vibes/color scheme of this drama was so fitting and so pretty, it set the right mood, it was kinda dark and cold, I really liked it.
I think, beside the ending, my favorite part was the characters. Im Jin Hee was such a normal "mature" and independent woman, they gave her a solid background, she was happily normally married, she had a job she worked hard in and she wasn't randomly "good" or "bad", they didn't add unnecessary conflict to her personal life, but they gave her a small trauma that was like the driving force for her relationship with So Jin.
Sung Joon, although I highly appreciated that he was her "normal" husband that was a cutie, he did seem a little useless, basically though the writers tried to leave all of the "mystery" solving to the ladies and so the cops were basically dumb ;P but again, I appreciate his last smart moves, they redeemed him well.
Baek So Jin was the highlight of this drama, again I think the writers (and the actors) did a great job making their characters feel believable and fresh, Baek So Jin was angsty without being hateful, hurt without having a "screw the world" mentality, and she was so brave, so tiny yet she tried to look uncaring ;(
I can't talk about how much I loved the ending, it was really well wrapped, though I do wish for a 2nd season~
the ost was another great mood setter, and I never rewatch things so it's either a 1 or a 10 ;)

This needs a lot of trigger warnings Honestly the lvl of anxiety, stress and blood boiling is high, and this barely had any comedy, 1%
this heavily revolves around criminals getting discharged, and under “neighborhood arrest” so I thought like thieves and embezzlers
but it’s focused on rapist, and serial child rapists , how is the death sentence not a thing? Especially knowing the burning sun criminals got out after their measly 5 year sentences,
So nothing was graphic but knowing the truth about how that one movie, hope, rapist got out and lives right next to that poor kid, this is blood boiling
Also, calling them officers but no guns, or backup or actual cops interfering? Frustratiiiiinnnnggggggggggggggg
I wonder how old wobin is pretending? Cuz he wasn’t acting like a 35 year old, he was as naive as WDH in bloodhouds
And this became heavy near the end too, a repetition of the plot, knowing it's the same screenwriter & director, as well as midnight runners.. it's more disappointing, atleast in bloodhounds, they had a lot more "adults" to help, eventho they died too
no cops got involved but 4 geeks saved the day, I’m gonna assume they’re less than 35 too, so the whole authorities were MAI....
And tho it ended "cutely", I wish they also talked about the dark web criminals, like saving one kid doesn’t mean the 10s still getting hurt is ok

I personally prefer crime scene and the great escape more as a theme, here it's like a stiff improve acting class and the line between drama and variety shows blurslike the ending credit with their real goofey self was way better but this too was a new sort of theme so I did still like it, though I have to say their villains were the most obvious people xD
I especially like how sehun, sejung and minyoung were in this since they're not the usual faces seen around in varieties and it was really great to see them solve cases and show their smartness
I really want to see minyoung and song jihyo act as villains tbh, I feel like they can pull off the deadly assassin character welll

Sunho was loyal, everything he did was to protect his friend and his sister, and I kinda hated Hwi for not seeing it..
and so I'll stop talking about Sunho and go to my next point. Hwi was such an inconsistent character.. it was like the writers changed him throughout the story just to fit their vision, and that took away my interest for the character.
Hwi from the start, Hwi from the middle and Hwi from the end were different people driven by different objectives. maybe it'd have been better if they added a 3rd friend?
as a "younger" audience I found myself really captivated by the idea of two young friends fighting for their vision of "my country". I'm not not a fan of historical genres, but I am slightly bored of the "fight over the crown" story every drama needs to have, even if it's based on a real story.. maybe my point is, it doesn't have to always be about real events to make a dark intriguing historical drama.
overall I was not happy with the script, and I think the writers/producers hit the jackpot only because of the great cast (and they were ALL great).
I did also dislike the forced romance between the two mains, those 2 side characters, and even Hwi's sister, I feel like they added them just to appeal to the "younger" audience, but it'd have been better off without it..
and the ending could've been better too...
the whole OST was great too, I liked how each kinda had their own background music, like the "main" teams fighting scenes ;)
my rewatch values are either a 1 or 10, and I might just look at WDH's photos so ;p
Edit: I actually did end up rewatching it in 2022 and I appreciated it more, dark historicals are rare

tkem's twin
I think the future world would've been more interesting, the power and the struggle, the need of the people who pay to time travel as if it was a drug to relive and change the past they can't touch......right now, Jin Gyum world is just another boring world against an evil corporation with flashy guns and nothing more...
in train they had such different lives in each universe so each decision made a huge difference, and though they were so unlike their counterparts they treated the "travelers" like the same person.
here they are not showing anything beside 1 universe and 1 parasite (ie alice). so even if they say "the past is not the same person" we can't really relate. they feel like the same people following the same exact pattern with minor changes because of alice's existence.
Alice is using this Jin Gyum world as a dumping ground for their evil corporate scheme to gain money and power while they ruin time and space quantum by adding more and more universes, tbh I feel like if a project like that exists they would ban time traveling just becasue it ruins the balance of the world..
it's like Alice now doesn't care if they are exposed in this universe, and they are practically just living in a different universe, but why is everything Alice does is in one universe? why aren't they moving through different ones? why when they choose to go back in time do they all end up in that one universe?
are there only 2 worlds? one where alice is created, and one where alice messes things up? so each past change doesn't result in a new universe it's just building on that 2nd mutant world?
I'm sad that I dropped a kim hee sun drama, the actors all did so well but the plot was as bad as tkem.. it's sbs and their writers' fault..
I've lost interest after that old lady mom coming back, the drama lost it's footing when they chose to make it full of romance cliches (between mom and son) instead of trying to write a decent time traveling drama, or even a revenge drama, and by ep11 I didn't even care anymore, but to hear that the writers made the fl feel "disappointed" that she really looks like the ml's mom? the heck?!
honestly, I've been keep track on this and I'm 100% glad I dropped this, it's so obvious the writer had no solid plan and just used one ridiculous move after the other and called it a "shocking twist"
I did not watch this past ep11 but I read a full rant from a friend I trust and I wish this never existed ;)
circle was lower production but better writing. also watch woman of dignity if you watched this for kim hee sun, like me ;)

this is like the TKEM of makjang, and LBY/KHS were the WDH of the show
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lee Bo Young, Kim Seo Hyung and even Ok Ja Yeon did a great job, before I go to the buts I have to applaud these women for carrying this show on their own, this show had no plot just amazing acting.whether this was a sismance between Seo Hee Soo and Jeong Seo Hyun, or if it was a starcrossed lovers (which would've been a better plot twist), their relationship and love for each other was the highlight of this show
The writer did an amazing job with Woman Of Dignity so where did this go wrong? when she decided to follow the ONE big mystery format? when she thought crazy family makjang would distract the people from the fact that this show had zero plot line?
This show has one "murderous night" that gets revealed peace by peace each ep while the rest of the show is about the over complicated lives of rich people.
long story short, everyone had a kid that wasn't theirs. one loved him as her own. one took care of him and raised him with everything he needs, and one hated him which resulted in the biggest makjang of all
but does that justifies his actions? I think we've seen enough "mistress's kid", "abusive dad" in rich guy/poor girl romcoms that this does not look like the fault of the horrible parents, he was just a psychopath.
now I can't remember if the step mom faked the "1st love's" death or if Ji Yong told her to do it, but overall the starting point of this makjang was moot.
he wanted his kid to have what he didn't, he married and perfected the fake ideal husband that everyone was happy but his crazy self went ahead and brought the real mom around becasue he wanted both women to give double the love and care to his son
when he remembers how horrible his own mom was. so instead of appreciating Seo Hee Soo, he goes and brings chaos to his house then cry about the 2 women not wanting to be manipulated.. way to go genius psychopath...
soooo that's it. that was the whole plot, everything else was a filler and a "what happened", then they kept showing multiple scenarios as if the 1st thing they showed didn't reveal the whole thing... tbh even before their "big reveals" I knew what will happen right after the 2 women realized who the really enemy was
even when they kept showing different truths, the 1st truth was obvious..
the funny thing was, they only finally revealed everything at the end, and it was another WOD knockoff. in WOD I thought it was genius, but that just shows, you can't use the same plot move and expect the same result. I wish the killer was heeso's assistant xD
now on to the maid and the rich dude. penthouse really ruined that one. sure knetz are suckers for that but the fact that that move got so hyped in penthouse writer's think everyone wants that..

As mom says “don’t these people talk to each other”
In a world with 3 strong women, 3 weak men family, and one kidnapped grandma, you’d think they’d talk to each other and you’d think they’d know the 3 women are strong
She’s such a bad mom, yet again blaming the dad.. like first off they’re 21 year old adults, and secondly you are the reason for his insecurities so there’s only one person to be blamed
I reaallllyyy can’t feel like these 4 are a family, tbh she didn’t have to be lost, maybe a late bloomer or someone who hated her powers and wanted to be normal, now they’re like a bunch of ppl just there

the main idea of rohan's super power was amazing, the execution on that part and the cgi was also great, and each story was a stand alone that kinda connected each ep, but it wasn't that well developed. they didn't have time to add substance to each character though I easily loved the 2 mains, I wished for more connections, more interactions, more backstory ;(
so basically it was too short and too rushed but still great idea~
the outfits, well the fl's 2 clothes were really really pretty, and for rohan, his head piece felt weird and he should've worn tighter pants. and the other manga guy's outfit just like rohan's head piece felt too cosplayish. it's like they walked right out of the manga xD
the acting was great, Takahashi Issei played off the eccentric goofy manga artist with a wast knowledge and a deep secret really well. though I love to see him do more dark dark roles, that doubled feeling felt right for rohan.
Iitoyo Marie too was cute enough to be the bubbly kind and she was kinda clingy but then it came off as uncertain assertiveness that blended well with rohan's 2 faces and I just liked to ship them ;D
the songs were nice enough, the way each book had a different style was really clever and though I never rewatch things I wish for a 2nd longer seaon

good but not that good
Overall great acting, overboard accidents and too much talking about hospital politics and budgets, and not enough charactersfor a drama with "five" main characters, the last two felt like glorified side characters, they didn't have any presence unless the 1ml needed them
and speaking of the mains, they didn't have much character base, a backstory, the feeling that made them humans and individuals
Baek Gang Hyeok, was just a genius, a selfless superhero that saved people no matter what
Yang Jae Won, was the lanky, awkward and pure hearted
Cheon Jang Mi, a smart hotheaded know it all
Han Yu Rim, a loud selfish jerk that only changed when his objective was in danger
Park Gyeong Won, a quirky dude that went against his selfish superiors
that's it, no one had a "life" outside those elements and barely any life outside the setup of the hospital
for events, beside the episodic "dangers", it was filled with greedy selfish people talking about how money is more important than one life
the only medical drama I liked was hospital playlist and that was because each character had a story and a presence, I also did like House, and that also felt more than just the smart jerk dr

And a bit of sailing ships I preferred more than romance genres. It's sad non romances have great ships but they're never the focus.
The bad: a bit flat characters and connections. Too easily solved and brushed past depression, bullying and suicide. Sadly it's not how real world works and sadder cuz this probably won't "teach" people to be kinder.. the bit at the end made me tear up because it is that simple to just stand up and be there for someone but no one wants to do the "extra work". It was a bit too long and I can't say I actually watched it full heartedly

my mom only hated 2 dramas, into the ring and thisshe said the whole plot and characteristics felt like something made for teens should've been played by teens xD
anyway, they had three good things, 1, no breakup*, 2, no childhood connection and 3 junho's smiles
the bad, well everything... no real plot, no real thought process just a bunch of random cliches after another, no follow through and all cliffhangers/angst/conflicts were resolved and brushed over...
and tbh, woong felt too clingy, too "involved", too rushing it too fast
and sarang felt too uncarying of him, not as in love and I don't mean she put herself first but like she didn't seem as happy and she always found a reason to nag at him and lecture him..
i thought she was a bit of a gold digger but i'm glad she built her own career xD tho speaking of her successful fully booked business. no one besides woong was ever there. even the first night, no one came after booking which made me think she only had one room and he was the one always booking
mom was also sad the friends didn't visit her there, like was it really one room no one could ever book in? xD
the stupid sister building 30 years of anger over him being loved by his parents when she could've just joined in, no one hated her... and the mom leaving over the grandpa, and never coming back as if she was a side character to her son's life when even the dad still loved her... atleast they should've made a sob story of her getting ill or whatever... and ofc the deadbeat husband of 3rd fl was wrong but dang she made him a doormat... yeah fixing the problem isn't done by making another...
and the final ep, one stupid ad after another, that's how cheaply they thought of this drama, just a fan service and piggy bank...
