Surprisingly I actually really enjoyed this. I went on a Zhang Wanyi dramas binge and let me just say I love his character here. I didn’t watch OSN so I don't know the comparison but I will say when it come to remake you have to go into it open minded. Not every remake is going to be exactly the same and I prefer it that way.
Finally catching up with his dramas and it made me realize he doesn't have any xianxia drama.... He play his character in LYF so well that I can't bring myself to watch his parts in part two because of how much I want to strangle his character.
Anyways, I really hope he do more historical dramas because he look so dashing and hopefully some xianxia too.

Umm, no one said anything about undermining IU talent as an actress. As any fan, we should be able to set aside our biases and acknowledged that sometime our fav won't be able to perform certain role if given. Will they always give their all? Of course. Will there always be actors who performance s is probably better than our fav? Of course. Just because you have your bias doesn't means that the other person didn't deserve their win as well.
I swear it's always IU fans that I have see that said KTR didn't deserve her win. It's fine that you feel like IU deserve to win instead.

This is not to discredit either actress of their worthiness. Yes, IU did great and it's probably her best acting thus far but when you see it on a bigger scale the acting range wasn't there. (At least for me). While I didn’t watched The Star is Born but from all the clips and spoiler (at the time it air) I have seen, it is hard to not give Kim Taeri the award.
It's hard to not be bias toward this win especially if people only watched WLGYT because of IU and the big fandom she has from music/drams.
