Aaaaah, as much as I love JCW I can't help but yearned for Wang Yoo and Seung Nyang love 😭. Just writing this I feel like I am betraying JCW lol, but to me he is indeed the villain in this love interest. I just couldn't shipped him with Seung Nyang and it's not even because I was questioning whether SN love Ta Hwan or not. I hated Ta Hwan character so much, I just wish he was a stronger character and of course I can't hate the history. With that said, the ending definitely feels so bittersweet. I wish the five years that was tormenting TH with those fake letters wasn't filled with so many misunderstanding he had of SN. They could of had such a beautiful love together, nonetheless this was a good drama. Now if someone would recommend me some dramas that will give emotional damage, I am here for it.

Yes, please watch the original. It is such a masterpiece that it would be a shame not to.

Omg I feel the same way! I was excited to see LJH new drama but the moment I saw it is with Yoona, it is in no doubt a pass for me. I couldn't finish K2 because of her acting.

I am having a hard time wanting to finish the last two episodes. My desire to finish it is just not there anymore. I realized that I started BP because 2521 was going to break my heart and I needed something at that time to smoothe the pain. Now that both drama has ended my excitement for BP just isn't there anymore. I really enjoyed the first half especially the first two episodes but I am starting to realize that BP is only a drama that I will enjoy during this time and not a drama I will remember. Perhaps this is why my desire to finish it is very low right now.

The drama is a hit regardless of the ending. Perhaps people should start rating dramas as a whole and not soley base on the ending. It is ridiculous to rate a drama lower then it deserves just because the ending didn't meet people expectation.

This has got to be one of JCW work that I like best. There's so many things to love about this drama and it is unfortunate that people didn't enjoy it. When there is a new approach to drama there's always going to be people who don't like it and that is okay. MDL rating really be off sometime and I am very happy I didn't let it swayed me away.

Everytime I say I'm moving on, I open up twitter and there's Netflix posting 2521. I open up YouTube and the swoon post a 2521 videos. Gosh. They are never letting me move on.

I can't believe I let some reviews made me hesitant to watch this. Was this drama perfect? Definitely not. It was a cute, sweet and comedy drama. People aren't too fond of JCW dramas lately but to be honest I love him in whatever character he choose. His character is always slightly different and I'm going to enjoy whatever drama he partake in.

I agreed with you. I really wanted more sadness of feelings and emotions but that was not portrayed well in this drama.

Where do I begin, I can see why people didn't like this drama but honestly it wasn't a bad drama. Something that really bothers me was how ML and his ex ended their relationship, it feels so abrupt. 20 years later for the ex girl was filled with so many "what if" i didn't let him do the experiment. What if I had stopped him or did the experiment with him. 20 years later for ML was like yesterday, so I find it hard that he didn't even embrace his gf after seeing her. His emotions and feelings feel so cold like nothing even happened. It almost feel like he didn't even try to understand the pain she had to endured. I understand that he was hurt as it look like the gf didn't try to look for him. But the break up and letting go feel so easy on ML part. I couldn't tell if he was hurting because of his ex gf or if he started to realized his feelings for FL that he somehow feel guilty for his ex gf. If I'm being honest I was rooting for ML and his ex more than FL. Sure I didn't like how the ex action could of harm ML and FL but I understand her stance. I'm upset at how ML and his ex didn't get a proper closure and FL really just feel like a rebound. Nonetheless, the reviews here made me really hesitant to watch and I'm glad I did. It's not the best drama for me but it's also not the worst.

Also, for your information Ahn Hyo Seop have lived in Canada for a good chunk of his life so yes his English will be more smooth than Nam Joo Hyuk. That doesn't make one better than the other, you are part of the problem.

You know, you sound exactly like one of those people that tell other to learn and speak English like English is the only existing language in the world. You don't think they know their English are not up to par? If English is not widely spoken in their countries, why do they need to try so hard just to satisfy your need of perfect English word pronunciation.

To me their relationship didn't end because of their career or one career. But rather that they were both hurting individually in the relationship. You can love someone but when you're no longer feeling the love going anywhere, it is no longer making you happy. If it hurt less letting go than staying together then why not. Also, I dont think the show or the writer had any intention of showing the dad ever. To the audience it was moreso, "who's the dad"? Perhaps we paid too much attention to that, that we kind of set ourselves up for disappointment. Personally I didn't feel the ending was rush but I understand why you said so.

It's interestong how in your theory and POV BYJ is the bad guy. Are you another anti BYJ because what you wrote definitely sound like it. What I am getting from you is that it is okay for NHD and BYJ to not end up together BYJ is too obsessed with his job and that NHD deserves a full on relationship. You know what they both really deserves? A happy ending and whether that is with them together or not.
Why is it wrong for him that he want to excel in his job or if that he did fell in love with being a reporter? People give BYJ so much Sh*t for every little things he do, right or wrong.
Also, just because his house is not fully furnished that make him come off as someone who can't even get their priority straight? His apartment is not a home just because there's newspaper on the wall? Sorry that in your perspective a home can only be a home with fully furnitures. Dude, you're just finding every reason to make BYJ out to be the bad person.

Never let a high rating drama give you hope that a drama might be good. But 2521 is different, it really do deserve the high rating and please give it a try. I always feel bad for people who chooses not to watch a drama because of the possibility of sad ending. Also, if you do end up watching 2521 lucky you, you didn't have to suffer with us waiting for the next episode and have all these theories slowly kill us.

Yes you can be upset at the direction this drama is going. However it sound like you're upset because of an adult and minor relationship moreso than the title. I'm sorry but I will have to respectively disagreed with you about BYJ not allowing NHD to have any connection with other guys.
Reading your comments make me wonder if you even watched or pay attention to any of the small details. When NHD was dating her two week boyfriend, BYJ never make it seem like he disapproved or made her feel wrongly for dating. In fact, he probably found it surprising considering that NHD interest has always been fencing and Gull House. Also there was no other boys after her boyfriend, so what even spark the, BYJ wouldn't allow NHD to make connection with boys her age?? NHD is in HS there's all the boys she can make connection with if she wanted to, again her interest snd life has always been about fencing and FH. So to put the blame on BYJ for NHD lack of interest in boys is unreasonable.

I am not saying you are wrong or anything but I can see that what you had experienced in life is affecting the way you watch this drama. To get something straight, BYJ didn't take NHD on a vacation, it was a school trip between KYR and NHD as they both has said they never experienced it before. The other two wanted to join so sure I can see why you said it's a vacation. But unless BYJ did indeed snuck NHD away for a "mini vacation" when it was a school trip, where is the harm? If BYJ character had a predatory mindset he would of never given away the alcohol SW brought on the trip.

I have mentioned this in my comment above and I'll say it again, platonic can be so many thing. BYJ and NHD relationship started with finding comfort in one another tragedy and navigating that together. We had a BYJ who was separated from his family, promised to never be happy again and just trying hard to put his family back together to a now BYJ who saw there's so much more to life. Yes there relationship has been platonic and will that eventually lead to love? Most definitely. I get what you're trying to say about predatory not having to have a physical touch to just prey on someone. It is the way you're framing BYJ, make it sound like he purposely evolved his life around NHD to just stay close and keep an eye on her. I for one am not making excuses that their platonic relationship will lead to love because I know that, that can happen. So just a thought too, since BYJ seem to be the bad person here,. You said "BYJ source of happiness is around NHD and that in itself is toxic for a young girl to be responsible for a man emotional wellbeing". Wouldn't that also relate to NHD? As BYJ is a source to her happiness as well?

Ummm what promos are you talking about? Because from what I am seeing the promos definitely did not misled me. Even the synopsis is not a misled.

Well to my understanding the drama got its inspiration from the song 2521 so if that was the case why name it 2319. That would defeat the purpose of the inspiration behind this drama. Although at this rate it will probably look like we won't get much content from the 2521 era, that doesn't necessarily means that time will be pointless. IMO that's probably going to be the most important time between NHD snd BYJ.
As for the relationship between the two, it is all up to people opinion because at the end of the day people can say whatever they feel about the two but if you already set your mind to how their relationship is, it won't matter. You said BYJ literally found a job that allows him to be near NHD, I see it as BYJ found a decent job that seem to pay well and he can actually advance in. It wasn't like BYJ wanted to report in sport news, no one wanted to do it which is why he volunteered. Sure the thought of reporting it in fencing and seeing NHD probably cross his mind but it's also a chance for him to show his superior what's he capable to do.
So what is okay for an adult to do in your opinion? Sure call me bias because yes their relation is platonic. To find comfort, to find support, to find someone who gives you hope and understand you and your struggles is hard to find. Will it lead to love unknowingly and unintentionally? Yes of course. It wasn't like BYJ prey on NHD because of her vulnerability and take advantage of that. The drama is obviously set on where two people who are struggling through life and time and how their presence made a difference in each other life. I don't think we need to watch a drama to know and realize that in life when we find our platanic partner and relationship it may lead to love.

I wouldn't necessarily say it is boring but I find myself losing interest in the main leads. I am slowly drawn to the second lead as I find their encounter more amusing I guess. But I also think it is very normal to find a drama boring or less interested in after getting in half way through.
