Under deliver potential great fiction-drama
Looking forward to this drama because of Suzy and Woo-bin, equally great individual actors addition to a Promising storyline and concept. Just finished Bon Appetitè Your Majesty and was hoping this would help me move on but it was a disappointment. Sadly. Story was mostly dragging and confusing, i had to change the language just to check where i can more appreciate the lines and delivery. With all of the episodes the only episode that I did not hit the fast forward was when the Genie was taken back to the past and remembered what happened to him and Kayoung. Acting of Woobin as expected delivered but the rest, really a drag. There was also GL included which i appreciated but somehow added more confusion in the mix.Overall it could have been epic only it has a lot of unnecessary scenes and unrelated subplots that made it lost its supposed original concept. Aw! Hoping for a greater comeback for the actors very soon!
Note: I understand the reactions of using the iblis as a character and its relation to religion but I do hope we can look past it as a form of the production being creative instead of disrespectful.

Watch out of Curiosity - no expectations
Disclaimer - not really a fan or familiar of the lead actors’ movies/series other than the movie The Kingdom so I have no expectations and just plain curious and interested when I chose to watch the series.Back story - the younger versions of the Ju Wons delivered well. Perfect mix of young, innocent, carefree love and characters. The chemistry was effective and built well. When met up with their own challenges and hurdles in life their acting was also spot on. Kudos.
Main leads - older versions. Meh. I feel like they could have done better in casting. No spark or chemistry at all. I would have wished to have the younger versions played the part and just make them look older. That could have worked. They also do not look alike at all, in any angle. Just funny how they referenced old pictures that it looked like a random teenage kids or even can pass as their son/daughter when they supposed to be their younger selves. Lol. It was bothering.
And why with the formal suite all the time for the ML and all trainers/tracksuit for FL? Like always? It did not help at all with how they built the image of their characters. It looked so sloppy and trying too hard. Sorry.
Background story - blurry and shallow. Family feud and history was not really established well so you’ll kinda wonder while watching how and why the anger was that much coming and revenge was too intense. Like why? It was dragging. The 3rd wheel also was not effective, like a he was supposed to be a star swimmer but no charisma at all. Like why built a background as such but the acting is like he is confused teenage kid?
Overall i think the ML should stick to more serious / action drama and stay away to RomComs. I thinks its past his pay grade or aura already. The FL, I cant really say, she is pretty to look at but the acting is too blunt, like it’s the same expression the whole time. I feel like she failed to connect to any character, i did not feel her as a dotting grand daughter, friend or as a teacher at all. Like ok she is just there with her lines. I even felt more connected to the female antagonist TBH like with her I felt the anger I was supposed to feel so just means her acting was effective at some extent.
Script is also a downer overall. I had few laughs at some parts but really nothing related to the story, it’s like watching bloopers kinda laugh I guess.
Oh well. Onto the next.
