Is this drama that good? Not playing it safe in the end? Takes some risks/has stakes?

Great drama but I also felt they should have made at least a few more eps, really unsatisfying that it ends when the plot had gained some really nice momentum. Second season is coming, sure, but really unsatisfying somehow.

This drama does not deserve those high viewership ratings. Ok it started out very good & fun but then went downhill, overrated AF.
With the MDL rating scale it should sit at like 8.1, def not higher.

Those top reviews tho.. one a 10/10 and next a 1/10, so I guess the drama is about a 5-6/10 realistically speaking? Apparently the writer dropped the ball halfway through, from what I've heard...?

I wonder if it was needed to put a fantasy story during this specific period, my guess its only to spread hate towards Japan. Its shown on amazon prime in Japan too and my japanese friends say its becoming kind of a controversy there. All this while a korean youtuber is becoming super famous in Japan as he keeps getting surprised by how kind the japanese are and says that "Japan is nothing like we learn at school. Even today korean kids get brainwashed that all japanese are evil and deserve to die. Its crazy".

Japan has admitted, apologized and keep sending insane amounts of money to SK every year. The people who committed the war crimes are dead. Its time to move on - which the younger generations actually already are doing. But then there comes something like this just to keep the hate propaganda alive. It sucks tbh.
And I wonder how SK would react if someone made a movie or tvseries about the korean war crimes/massacre of civilians in Vietnam - that the south korean government straight out denies happened, even though its well documented. Also previous seasons are way better than this one (objectively 😅), I even think they should have ended it all with the first fantastic season.

Am I the only one who is pretty underwhelmed by this season? Some episodes are also straight out terrible like you wonder if the writer was sick, drunk or something... 🤔

Just finish it for the sake of it, you after all spent 14 hours of your life on it... but the last episode is super disappointing. Hate to say it. I still can't believe they went for that trope..

You get Jang Hyuk and Jang Na Ra - teaming up again since "Fated to love you" from 2014 that we all loved, and this is the best you can come up with? F*CK! The writer and director should be ashamed of themselves. Weak writing, weak plot, mediocre, zero stakes...

Surprised to see this sit at 9.1. I thought the opening eps were pretty strong then it just got worse and worse. It falls apart pretty fast if you start analyzing the different plot points and how its written. "aaaggg" below kind of summed it up well. The guy who didn't show ANY emotions for like 10 years suddenly crying like a little baby all the time was a funny one for me. Tbh the writing is a trainwreck and just gets worse and worse as the show progresses. And I am not even mentioning the last episode, well now I did... 😳

Too much focus on disgusting foot fungus that had zero payoff. Wtf were they thinking? Otherwise decent opening eps but the drama starts sucking halfway through and the ending is a spit in your face. Wouldn't recommend tbh.

I think they forced Ahn Bo Hyun to loose too much weight, he looks lke a completely different person.

Its netflix so I'm scared....
