While watching I went from "Wow, what an amazing story. I can't wait to see everyone's character development." to "Character development? No. Just bring a meteor and end everyone's suffering at this point."
The writers really said: "You liked that character?" "Yes." "What about that one?" "Also yes." "Excellent. We have terrible news."š
Already gone through the father, Mu Jiu, Tian Huo's father, the ML's clan, SML's parents, Ling Long, Rong Xian, Cang Shan, FL's master... At this point I'm not watching for the plot anymore. I'm watching to see which emotional support character gets sacrificed next.š
I want to rewatch something because Iām out of good new dramas. My favorite historical C-dramas with romance as one of the main plots are LOTFG, POJ,TPOB, Blossoms in Adversity, WRTW,LITG,NIF,double, blossom,SOKP,New Life Begins,WOL Iāve watched a few others too, but these are my top picks. Any recommendations for what I should watch next?
Okay, Iām watching this show for the first time, and Iām struggling to finish the last 5 episodes. Hereās my take on some of the cast:
>Kim Tae I : My favorite. Heās clear about his past relationship, looks good, and comes across as both mature and friendly.
>Park Won Bin : I like him too, but toward the end, it felt like he got back with Ji Soo more out of pity or concern rather than genuine feelings. Not sure if he even realizes that himself.
>Jung Hyun Gyu : Neutral for meānot as a person, but in the context of the show. He seemed very clear that he had no lingering feelings for his ex, so I didnāt really get why he joined (maybe for exposure, which is fair). Since he came in late (around episode 15), it felt a bit pointless. I feel the same about Park Na Eon. As individuals though, they both seem great.
>Jung Gyu Min : I think heās mostly moved on from his ex, but thereās still maybe 5% lingering feelings since they were together for so long. At the same time, I donāt feel like his feelings for Lee Na Yeon are that strong either.
>Lee Na Yeon : I liked her at the beginning because she clearly showed she didnāt want to get back with her ex. But after Hee Doo showed up, her feelings seemed to shift. Honestly, I think it wouldāve been better if she left the show single. I saw a spoiler that she chooses her ex, which feels like a bad decision.
>Hee Doo : Same as Na YeonāI donāt think they work well together in a relationship. His connection with Ji Yeon felt more friendly than romantic. I honestly think it wouldāve been better if he left the show alone too. ** About Na Yeon and Hee Dooās relationship, I feel like in the long run it could go two ways: either they eventually figure out what they truly want for themselves and part ways, or they get so used to their fights and dynamic that they just canāt stay apart.
>Sung Hae Eun : Cry⦠cry⦠cry⦠I really tried to like her, but she was sad in almost every scene. Even she might not like how she comes across in the show.
>Ji Soo: No comment.
>Ji Yeon : This might be unpopular, but I didnāt like her. At first, I had no opinion, but later she made a big deal out of Na Yeon hugging Tae I and kind of painted her in a bad light. I didnāt like how Hee Doo handled it eitherāhe didnāt need to confront Na Yeon about it multiple times. He shouldāve known there was nothing behind that hug. And after the Jeju Island date selection, she was clearly upset that Hee Doo didnāt pick her, but then she went to Ji Soo crying, saying she wanted to āprotectā Tae I from Na Yeon because she thought Na Yeon wasnāt good for him⦠which honestly made no sense to me. There were a few other moments too where I didnāt like her behavior.
I havenāt started it yet⦠should I watch now or wait until all the episodes are out? Also, is there a chance of a sad ending? And who are the couples? God, I have way too many questions š
Iāve watched way more C-dramas than K-dramas⦠but somehow still havenāt found āthe oneā comfort C-drama. Meanwhile, my favorite K-dramas? Instant comfort zone. Unlimited rewatch value. No questions asked š My top C-dramas rewatch value be sitting there like: āwe tried our bestā and Iām like⦠5/10, maybe 6 on a good day š
I watched until ep 11 and thought Iād binge the remaining 12 eps(ep 12 to 23) later. So in the meantime, can anyone suggest a few dramas that can keep me hooked for the next two days? No matter what I try to watch, I keep getting pulled back to this drama š
