Thank God this 5 episodes saved the series to a some extent. It really got to my mind after rewatching everything. Before that I thought this series was cherry on the top for the original cake. After the disappointing ending of the last series, they really tried to revive it with this and it's a solid try, though character development problems weren't solved. The kiss at the end was not a good answer for lack of intimacy complaints, but still with great actors and cute and comedic moments, this is a great add on to the previous season. 8/10 for me.
Like many others here, I also watched this in 2020 and believed it to be a perfect bl. I unknowingly discovered the bl genre in 2015, but didn't have the opportunity to watch high-quality ones because of limited resources at that time. I had only seen Down the River and The Love of Siam, which are considered classics. This was one of my first contemporary bls . But like everyone says looking back, the main reason that made me engaged to this is the uncertainty of the pandemic. It had a solid start like a typical uni love story. Tine being adorable with his cute smile made me binge watch it. It was going smoothly until after episode 10, all started to go downhill. They added unrelated scenes one after the other, and the storyline became boring. Firstly Tine took a long time to understand Sarawat's love which was so obvious. Secondly they kept bringing unnecessary new characters and most of them tried to lure either Sarawat or Tine, which made their silly jealousy thrive. I mean one time is fine. But back to back with both guys and girls? Pam was the most useless one who ruined all at the last moment. And Mil needlessly trying to hit on Tine. Come on! Next the lack of intimacy. Acting very intimately (even kissing) when fake dating while patting and stroking heads, when really dating, that's it. Where's the logic? Lack of character development was a major con here. Plus the side couples' stories were kinda boring. Acting to be honest really nice. All did a great job, specially Green. To me music was mid though(sorry Scrubb). After rewatching it for 2nd time I would only watch 10 episodes again. At least Still 2gether made this series a bit better. This is a 7.1/10 for me.
Nice movie that depicts the reality of a gay relationship and shows how complex human emotions are. Everyone has their up and downs but have to commit yourself to build up a solid relationship, which the characters were unable to do. I know some people prefer threesome, but in this case luring another person into their relationship was a big red flag. Nevertheless the actors' performances were amazing, but I felt it was like a short movie that got unnecessarily long. Anyway it was a great movie.6.9/10
After about 5 years, I'm still disconsolate that in the end, after everything Wei Ying had done, he got nothing in return. Like in the book he and Lan Zhan tied the knot, but this Chinese censorship ruined that potential moment. I mean still the series is awesome. But their parting ways with a vague end was not enough to satisfy me.
Watched this drama in 2013 and rewatched it for the 4th time in this year, because of nostalgia. The story had a great potential and the plot was nice. But every person in this drama act upon their own emotions too blindly for their own gain. Many did not took no as an answer in the love scenarios. And the story ended happily(and vaguely), but no one had a personal happy ending in terms of love though. As for me I really liked the visuals, specially in battles. The magical elements added a nice charm to it. The costumes were really attractive, specially the main characters'. But as for the minor characters, the costumes were funky like in a stage play of a middle school concert. Overall considering nostalgic feelings I rate this as 7.5/10
Oh My God! After reading the novel in 2019, I got to know that there's a series coming up. But I wasn't able to watch it till 2021, and after rewatching this in 2024 I have to say... This is one of the best C-dramas ever! I loved the whole story in the book but never thought about it been made to a series. The acting, emotions, costumes make this a total masterpiece. Plus music and visuals are one of a kind. There were some differences between the book and the series, but still after watching it for the 3rd time I am happy to say it didn't bore me. 😍 Usually I don't have high hopes for intimate scenes in BLs. And I don't care about them that much. But to be honest, I have to say it was a bit disappointing for me that here at least there's not a kissing scene as well due to freaking Chinese censorship!(I am so angry and sad) but even though there are no romance between Wei Ying and Lan Zhan still I am happy that the bromance made up for it and made me giggle all the time. Specially Xiao Zhan's highly impressive acting contributed a great quality to this drama. Even the side characters like Jiang Cheng, Wen Ning, Yanli, Wen Qing, Lan disciples etc. improved this series to the next level. Villains Meng Yao and Xue Yang are the best actors here after Wei Ying. And Yanli, ah! I adore her. She's the best sister one could ask for. ❤❤ This series have a high rewatch value and I can't get over it😊9.4/10
I first watched this drama in 2010. Again watched it in 2020 and 2024. Basically it's your average rich guy poor girl K drama but kinda vintage. The way it depicted the chaebol authority over normal citizens is amazing for that time period. The K drama clichés! Wow! Speaking about the characters, I loved the fact that Geum Jan Di is not a typical K drama protagonist girl. She's rebellious, diligent and kind. Goo Joon Pyo is the classic spoiled rich guy. And of course Ji Hoo. Ah! so much to say about him. It was a huge plot twist and disappointment for me that Jan Di and him are not together at the end though. But still it was entertaining to watch. The other F4 members, Yi Jung and Woo Bin and as well as Jan Di's friend are just eye pleasers. But it's a bummer that Woo Bin didn't get any important story from the plot. The songs of this drama are the best. I have to say this drama makes me so nostalgic. It's not my most favourite one but nostalgia gives it that potential. Overall it's a 7.2/10.
I have mixed feelings about this series. First of all, I've never seen an arrange marriage for a same sex couple. I mean I've encountered plenty of arrange marriages but not a BL one. Because typically families don't agree on these relationships in most dramas. But it's okay for a new concept. Secondly, as in above reviews, it's a mess. More than half of the episodes depicted lack of communication in both main couples. Why you should hide your way of life to your partner when you're engaged already. And why you became cold hearted and said "I don't love you!". Everything commenced to go downfall from there but no explanation for it. Also Diao and Yi's story was vague and incomplete. I didn't get the accident scene and why Yi have take the blame for it. Communication problem is the utmost reason lead to the curse of 11th episode(Sae Yid scene) which was totally avoidable if things went on the correct track. Speaking about characters, Kuea was too subtle and acted to satisfy others and he never trusted Lian till the end. He just made assumptions quickly and frustrated himself and others. Lian too acted strange in the beginning and when the engagement is about to called off becomes all lovey dovey but still controlling. Diao was too adorable💕 and childish but his relationship with Yi isn't that much to brag. Just toxic and forceful. Moreover, Syn and Nuer's relationship utterly doesn't make sense. I don't know the time perception( Maybe month or two) but it was so sudden(or rushed). I don't know whether it's love at first sight or something but it seemed like they were dating suddenly. But at least they were the only normal couple here. Other aspects of the drama was fine. The music is one of the best. Acting is great. My favourites are Foei and Jay. Funny and charming. Representing supportive friends(Kuea's) was amazing. Nong Ma was cute(but weirdly calm). Everything was great. It's just the plot/storyline that made it worse and took all the rewatch value. Overall I give it a 5.8/10 .
Cute drama! Acting of every single actor (Specially Milk) is incredible. It's sadly short but, the storyline and great life lessons made me binge watch this. For me though it's kinda weird to imagine your pets being reincarnated as humans and having romantic feelings for you. (Canine and Feline love😓) . Anyway it's really cute🧡 7.1/10
Not the very best but a really amazing drama. From acting to the chemistry had a real worth of watching. But it would be more fun if stories of the two couples weren't separated. Also it gave me artificial story vibes, specially Sky's part. Some parts of the plot weren't good and they rushed the conclusion of this drama. But overall I really liked it because of those sweet moments and funny scenes. 8.1/10
Cute but not promising. It would've been much better with a proposal in a normal episode and the wedding in special episode. Beautiful but quick rushed wedding and the Sun Ryu couple did not get along with the series. Nice conclusion to the story but my curious concern is what about Sailom's family. His mom neither showed her approval directly nor know about his wedding and nothing mentioned afterwards. It felt rather incomplete. 7.1/10
Good BL. Acting is amazing but the girls didn't do much justice to their characters(specially Marine). The story though, kinda weird. The wedding plan was stupid .Who can fake marry, hide and have a relationship with another person forever in those situations. If Sailom confessed his feelings and about him and Yiwa when he had the chance Nuea wouldn't suffer mentally. He just played a pursuing game while Nuea tries to keep his career and professionalism. The wedding itself was a cringe lake. That moms' fight was 🤣. Also Yiwa took all the blame and ran away while co-planner Sailom chilling and acting sympathetically. Chemistry wasn't enough between both couples but it's not bad. Fun drama with iconic scenes(SkyPai wedding/RainPhayu propose)and Nuea's family scenes were lovely. It has a rewatch value. I rank this 6/10
Really, this is one of the most inferior BLs I've watched. Acting is horrible (Sky's and support characters' was nice). Storyline was far out and cringe. Lines were cheesy and didn't balance with the plot most of the time . The exclusive scenes were interesting🙄but the drama itself was boring. It's just dull repetitive conversations for the most part .I give this a 3 .1/10
It's not a terrible BL series. Of course it's not a good solid drama in some aspects, for example the plot for me is okay but a bit dull, Dunk need some training but his acting was fine, chemistry between couples is somewhat poor and it lacks character development through out the episodes. There were some boring scenes but I kinda enjoyed it personally because the emotions and feelings of certain characters were strong, lovely and sensible. Specially side characters' stories depicted real life obstacles which isn't popular in BL. Overall I give it 5.8/10.
