It's actually quite a bit sad how Ye Qian happened to be the only one without a happy ending among all of his colleagues. At the end of the day, Ye Qian is going to end up like Captain Long, but even more heart-hardened cause he won't focus on anything but his job and catching criminals. Gave this an 8.0 because I really enjoyed the cases and hoe they unfolded, but beyond that... they could've done the drug case better. And the last scene really left me confused, is Chen Yumo really dead?

The characters are just lying to themselves. At the end of the day all their choices are for selfish reasons.

Is it only me but episode 17 - 20 kinda fell… flat?😭 like there was no major developments and nothing literally happened. After stringing us along with that annoying theft/murder case, they finally closed it only for absolutely NOTHING to happen. Genuinely, who wrote the script cause damn 😭

😭😭 I thought I had missed something at that scene I swear. It’s so confusing cause they didn’t tell or show beforehand that the guys watching were at the hotel too. And that scene where she put the drug in his drink, I was so confused about it up to the point of their next meeting after. Like why she did it and why he drank in the first place when it was obviously suspicious and so on. I had so many questions, but the character later explained their reasoning… ish. Cause what the hell type of job did the Narcotics guys give YQ? I know it’s some informant or mole but that too, they NEVER fully explained. So frustrating.

Tell me about it. It’s like they want us to be confused on purpose sometimes. It’s so frustrating cause then I start to think I missed something but it’s just bad editing.

Same it’s confusing, but i think they did it on purpose to keep us curious. Which is working😂 From what I’ve watched I don’t think CYM is Hou’s wife, more like drug mistress lol. And yes, SYL and Zhou need to find someone else to like, preferably one who likes them back.

It’s impossible for CYM not to like YQ with the past they both have. And I genuinely hope they find a semblance of fair ground and requited feelings unlike the two impossible you-know-who’s. Meaning SYL and Zhao, I’ve lost all patience for the for them at this point. Zhao has to truly get over YQ for anything to move forward.

She needs to get over it seriously. The fact that it’s been years and Ye Qian has NEVER ever shown an intention of romance towards her says it all. And now, she’s literally treating Si Yuanlong the same way Ye Qian treated her. Way to create a toxic relationship sigh.
