I'm really confused why the rating is so high. I'm like 20 minutes into it and the production values (cinematography) and story doesn't really have the quality I'd expect for a netflix exclusive. Even the special effects are like what you'd see from a kiddie commercial. If it was 8.6, I'd expect ITSAY, GSP, or Bad Buddy levels. Don't think I can sit in for 1.5 hours of this.

Was wondering if this will be shown in wetv Philippines, haven't seen any upcoming shows on it. Other than that, will it be in the gmmtv YouTube channel?

It’s more like a prequel to the movie. I don’t think it’ll just be a retelling of the movie, that wouldn’t be smart since you don’t get the views needed for sponsors. So the timeline will be GB1 > GB2 > the Movie > GB3 (if that will push thru)

Sadly, season 2 is a mess. The TinCan plot was rebooted and was disconnected and you can see no time was invested to workshop any chemistry between the leads. Just a cash grab.

Q is this season's Bas. Hoping they find their own happiness.

Much as I like new BLs to succeed and get out of the mold, I was clicking the 10 second button to get through the first episode. There were some good cinematography when at the house but the school, street fights, hope they kinda retouched it. I’ll see if the next episode story gets bets better or I’m checking if I’ll drop this. Crossing fingers for the best.

Sleeping beauty, have you noticed how many times Gene is actually asleep in the series and being carried by Nubsib. The ascent to the stairs, the light flashes every time Gene finds his happy place. This happened episode 2, when Gene enters the room in episode 12 and finally sees Nubsib in the next scene. Plus the nod of Gene to Rose before Rose disappears, which means Rose allows Gene free reign on his life and not be controlled by the writer anymore. Just my thoughts but each person has their own interpretations or how deep they will get into the lore.

Not disappointed. I think the vocal minority clouds your judgement. The ending was deep and well thought out. Try to delve deeper into the symbolisms.

Thank you, Ms. Rose, fo allowing us to escape in your stories yet realize we are grounded in this reality and need to live in the real world.

Write your own ending, haha. I think that's what lovely writer wants you to do.

Can't call Gene a coward. Both Gene and Sib might be thinking of breaking it but instead of losing their careers as writer and actor, Aey decides to do the right thing. That's why he's in the center of the table. He leaves showbiz and puts up his dream bakery. Everyone happy in the end.

I’m actually going to guess it Aey, sort of a redemption for him and get the two together. You can see how much he regretted how things turned south during the board room meeting.

True, the production outfit builds this fantasy world for fans who are so engrossed that they lose the boundary between screen and reality. The industry feeds off “fanaticism” to their ships so it can drive merchandise and ratings which means $$$ for the business. That’s why it was discussed by Gene’s Publisher their sales were taking a hit and will affect the ratings of Bad Engineer which in turn will affect sponsorships. Talking about sponsorships, I didn’t see a single product placement on this show, which lends to the theme of the episode. I think that’s the main message of the show to BL fans, allow the actors to act but have their own personal lives.

You do it once, you can kinda do it again. If Nubsib has such a huge fan base, they will probably keep on meddling with Nubsib and Gener’s personal life. “On his next project, let’s separate them again.” I get that a lot depends on them in the industry, so I think Sibs reaction that he wants out of the contract is valid. They kinda all are, one from the rational point of view (film industry) and the emotional (Sib and Gene’s). Just caught up in 2 conflicting sides. Great writing and acting as always.

The moment Aey cried when left in the boardroom. He realized his mistake. He somehow knew what Gene was feeling with forced break up with Nubsib. This was the feeling when his sister outed him to his family and was forced to break up with Time. BTS was funny for ep. 9. I'd call it the "UPpercut Ka. O." I'm about to have withdrawal symptoms when this series ends.

From episode 1, Aeoy was excited to meet Gene, from the casting table to the coffee machine talk. You can actually see when he is with Gene and Nubsib, he just says a sentence or two to Nubsib. It’s Gene who he actually talks to in length, knows a lot about the novel and asks him questions, from episode 2-4.

I’m back on the NubsibGene track, after not liking episode 6. Episode 7 was so fluffy. That house of Nubsib though reminds me of the house of Mean is LBC2.

Ok. I'm sold on this. The couples have good chemistry from the leads to the support. Makes me remember the vibes that Love By Chance had. And the story, though simple,.is easy to go along with. Hoping this has more potential in the next episodes
