If you can still keep all the key points intact it might help the story but no one is going to like if they change the character and plot completely.

Yes. This is so true . Sometimes you hit jackpot with minor changes and everyone will be happy . But it's always risky with major changes. This is why it's good our 'dear' director is not taking up any novels and even if he takes novels he isn't 'providing' his inputs into it. 😒 When you know it's a fml oriented one what's the use of changing the story so much. Did you see 'the double' it was also fml oriented. In some episodes you won't even see ml at all. But still ml is most talked and popular. Can't we just do this. No need of so many waste scenes, what you need is super impactful scenes which can be less in number but still effective. That's it.
