Say what you want about this series. Love or hate it. It has gotten a conversation going about serious issues that some are uncomfortable dealing with or even knowing about. Well done.
I was actually hoping Nick would finally have enough of Prab this episode and move on. He’s such a good sport,…
555 That adult is the agriculture teacher who was nurturing Mapings interest in plants and flirting with him before the new Math teacher came along. It's more than concern he has for Maping, I assure you. 1. He's jealous and 2. He's pissed the Math teacher has the balls to flirt with Maping in his territory, the greenroom. That's why he told him to go help some other teacher to their job.
I'm going to go on a limb here and say the frog prince is...
Prab's BFF Tri. The exam scene in episode 9 you see him on his phone texting behind Prab in the exam room but out of Chol's line of sight, while Chol and the frog prince are texting each other. At first I thought he had a crush on Prab and was jealous of Chol. But if it's the other way around it puts a totally different spin on him always telling Prab to give Chol more space and let him meet new people. And if you look back at the end of episode 4 when the frog prince sends Chol medicine for in sprained ankle Prab looks jealous and Tri is beside him with a slight smirk on his face.
Other candidates include Chol's academic rival who is always picking on him. Did someone say rivals to lovers? 555 Chol's photography club senior Q maybe. Chol's other friend - not Maping the other one. He doesn't say much but he's always there supporting Chol. Don't know his name though. How about Chol's other photography club classmate, Don't know his name either.
I was close to dropping this series but somehow it kept pulling me back. I am glad I stuck with it. Great to see…
So funny seeing Chol get pushy and coming between Prab and Nick. It was starting to get annoying when it was just Prab doing it with Chol + Khun or Chol + Sam. "I told you to teach me, now teach!" 5555 Poor Nick. I'm starting to feel bad for him.
I like how they resolved the family drama with Chol's dad and his marriage to Chol's mom in a way that made sense and didn't make anybody the bad guy.
I'm confused. Either Maping was lying when he said in an earlier episode he had to get into medical school so he can make money to help out his family and can't afford private lessons with teacher Mhok (giving the impression that his family is poor) or they did a retcon to explain why he was putting so much pressure on himself to get into med school when his real passion is Botany. I don't mind either way. His story is more interesting with his family being all doctors and his mom calling his interest with plants a silly hobby. Again introducing more drama to resolve before the series ends but whatever.

Not liking the pacing. None of the relationships have progressed very far and with 2 episodes to go they drop all this heavy family drama. How will they resolve all of these things without rushing? Are they planning a season 2?
They are not related by blood or marriage. It's common in some cultures to call your elders not related to you auntie or uncle out of respect and to show affection. At best Gene and Sib would be godbrothers as Auntie Orn (Sib's mom) seems to be like a godmother figure to Gene and a close family friend.
He was falling falling in love with someone who he thought felt the same way only to discover that this person…
Of course it's relevant. It goes to credibility. If Sib has been lying (by omission) about something this huge, Gene has to start doubting if he's being honest about his feelings for him as well. They are not separate things at all. It's all about trust. Does this person really like me or are they playing me for a fool?
It's awesome that you guys would be so rational and mature in this situation but a lot of otherwise rational and mature people would have an emotional breakdown when faced with heartbreak and betrayal.

He's probably had a crush on Gene since they were kids while Gene probably only saw him as his nong (little brother). Hint :when Nubsib told gene he has never seen him as a P'(big brother) but more, he was telling the truth even if Gene didn't know what he meant at the time. He maybe thought this was his only chance to win Gene's heart. If Gene knew who he was from the get go he would looked at him as a nong and nothing more.
Episode 6. Why did Gene react that way? Because...
He was falling falling in love with someone who he thought felt the same way only to discover that this person was lying to him the whole time. This is probably the first time he's felt this way about someone and now it feels like some elaborate practical joke. And the jokes on him. What makes it worse is that this is someone he really cared about in the past too and this person has used that connection to play him for a fool. He's not overreacting. He's really hurt.
I started this series knowing that it ended abruptly because of Chinese government clampdown but binged it anyway. I regret nothing! It's an amazing series! It is such a pity it did not continue but it was well worth the watch.
