If disappointment was a tv show, it would be this

Netflix.. Americanized.. where have I heard that before? I kinda had a feeling that would be the case. It’s Netflix after all and you could see it just from the previews. But I totally understand where you’re coming from. I’ve seen next to nothing, but the thing I’m enjoying the most is how refreshing Korean Dramas feel .. at least to me. All the reasons you’ve mentioned about Western TV I also find unappealing - I don’t mind them but they’re so .. whatever nowadays. And the stereotypes about Korean Dramas I’m probably gonna notice but it’s fine XD

I’ll take your advice regarding Viki - I do need to see more to know exactly how I feel and whether I’ll really embrace this new world of Dramas and what I’ll gravitate to - I’m very eager to and I am definitely enjoying Twenty Five Twenty One so far too. It has such a nice vibe to it and the production value is off the charts. I’m a sucker for these coming of age stories too

I'm actually thinking of making a Viki account, I'm just not sure if its worth it. It seems like it might be. Netflix has a ton of content from what I'm seeing too.

I don’t know if thrillers will be my go to genre, I love them to bits but I enjoy everything too as long as it’s good. My favorite TV show of all-time is Gilmore Girls so I definitely love a good romantic drama. I’m actually watching the first episode of Twenty Five Twenty One as we speak, I found it on Netflix and thought why not. So I’m absolutely open to any recommendations!

the first 4 or 5 episodes are pretty slow paced but it picks up after that for sure
