Script is well written, well executed and well-acted. Not perfect by any means but I enjoy every episode. What impresses me is they gave importance to each of the characters. Xiao Jinli caught my attention with his famous line "it's hard to explain." while Leng Yue will skin you alive. So, if there are things that you don't understand on this drama it's because it's hard to explain. If you still complain with this drama Leng Yue will skin you alive. lol I would award the Best Villain to Eunuch Qin Luan; he really did a good job.
I don't know about you, but I really like this drama. Chu Chu is just so cute. and I love how Jin Yu cares about her. He does not know he was in love with her already. You don't see a lot of kisses, but we feel the love. I love also the 2nd couples how they are dedicated to each other even they did not confess their love to each other. The prince brother is also something, you will also fall in love with him of how he loves his prince brother. 5 of them are so perfect team. Hope they will have another drama together. Chu Chu's family is also one of a kind. Her brother did not insist of what he wants. It's kind of all of them are intelligent to understand the situation. The Grandfather Pei Shan even just a short period of knowing him, will make you respect him. This is a drama that you can remember the rest of the characters not just the leads.
It's not hated, just disappointment. Like Tian Xi Wei and Ao Rui Peng getting popular and you knew their previous works, you are expecting for the next drama will be better. In this drama they ROB us by too many couples which eliminates FACE TIME FOR THE MAIN LEADS. The villain Ke Shi Zhao (Played by Patrick Quan) has more facetime, and his goonies, than the 2nd main lead. Its' a troupe couple love stories. You come here to watch the main leads, but you get more side couples. Too much co-incidentals I should say. Don't get me wrong the main leads did a very good job. The first main lead they are so comfortable each other they don't need to act that much. The 2nd main lead story is more interesting, but I feel that was cut short. (They made them fall in love fast, to fast forward their story) I'm glad though, Yan Shen and Liyu did a very good job acting so with Sha Ping Wei to put your attention with. Fang XiaoQiao looks like a naive villain but follow to the tee his boss. Overall, they created a fluffy cute drama. You frown and grin with the villain and that's all about it.
These actors can act, sometimes directors do not know how to use the actors/actress potentials. But what can you do also if it is the bad writing, is the problem. I feel like someone sabotage the supposed to be good or even an excellent drama.

Since from the beginning it looks like the spotlight is on the 1st couple, the general's story is LIKE a side story, but we are getting more meat from them, and now they have to add more unnecessary character.
Looks like the FL lead just want to do Martial Art and nothing more. She was put in a position to pretend, so it's understandable that the maid looks intelligent than her.
In the middle of 1st, 2nd Episode and 8th Episode is kind of blah. 8th is very ok. Wonder why the rate is going downhill. Hopefully it will catch up and go upward again.
same here, the poster also is showing the 4 of them. If I am not mistaken, she only appeared in 12 episodes. I guess since she ends up with one of the ML that makes her a main cast.
