yes Charles said that the knife was for someone precious to him, could it be sunghoon? He said to eunki " I can't…
If they didn’t mention him, and if you’re saying Charles didn’t give their phone number to SJ, Charles might be lying about his identity. Your theory might be true.
However, something bothers me! If Charles is #12, why did he pretend to be #24’s brother? Why didn’t he simply deny any involvement with HWC?

If Charles is #12, how come he gave Sung Joon the phone number of his parents, who are also supposedly the parents of Hyun Soo (#24)? Or did SJ get the phone number through someone else? I honestly don’t remember this part.
In episode 13, Yoon Jae was monitoring everyone while in his car. He saw Sung Joon arriving, then tried to detonate the b*mb. When this didn’t work, he ran to HWC.
- Who defused the b*mb in less than 40 sec? - Why didn’t YJ see who it was on cam? - When did everyone escape before YJ reached the Center?
My take on this is that the detonator of the 💣 was stopped digitally by someone who knew not only of its existence but also of its type and location.
Think about this for a minute:If the culprit in the whole series is a guy who, during his childhood, suffered…
Sung Hoon… Who would his target be? His family. Sung Hoon’s target is his father and mother. His ultimate goal is, in my view, to expose them and punish them through the law. This is why he insisted that his mother doesn’t resign from her position as the Minister of Health—he wanted her to continue committing sins so that there is contemporary evidence against her; he wants to inflict the utmost humiliation on her. Regarding his father, he wants to punish him for the HWC embezzlement case. In a previous episode, Sung Hoon asked his dad if there was a ruling he regretted in his career. His eyes were widely focused on his dad; and the father said “yes! Of course there was”.
Think about it (again!): is it a coincidence that Sung Hoon became a judge? The producer said something at one point about Sung Hoon — “ He was the king in the courtroom”. Sung Hoon had to become a judge to carry out his plan. He had a 20 years plan that started with brainwashing his little brother Sung Joon… (to be continued).
P. S. I think that the document Sung Hoon gave to Eun Gi is the embezzlement file.
If the culprit in the whole series is a guy who, during his childhood, suffered a lot in a pseudo-orphanage, and that guy is thirsty for revenge, why would he choose such a complicated way to achieve what he wants? If Yoon Jae is the culprit, and he has hacking skills, why would choose to hack the court’s system to send the random jury selection invitations, gather the ones he wants to eliminate in one place and not even know if they’re gonna get to the final selection? Why not simply get to identify these people on social media or whatever, gather them since the beginning in one place and get them play the Hunger Games from episode 13 ?
My point is… This complicated way of execution tallied neither with Yoon Jae’s personality nor with his desire to punish everyone involved directly or indirectly in the HWC tragedy once and for all. If anything, this revenge seems to follow a meticulously planned order, a very cold execution, which makes me think that the real target of this whole scheme is something/someone else. Talking about YJ’s personality, he seems rather the type who would carry out a scheme like that of Episode 13 rather than the first one. YJ is explosive, impulsive and fiery; and I am NOT convinced he is the culprit, let alone that he acted alone. If this is how it ends, it would be a HUGE plot hole.
Sung Hoon is, in my opinion, the cold hearted and merciless mind behind everything.
why is the cops only focusing on the serial killer? There is a lot of evil people still walking around that needs…
Sung Joon and his team have no idea about what was revealed by the producer et Co. at the HWC. Remember that when SJ arrived at the scene, everyone was stunned by Nurse Jo’s revelation and stopped talking. The only ones known to them to have been involved are Chief Yeom and Baek. Moreover, not everyone’s action, no matter how immoral and ruthless it seems, is punishable by law.
Sung hoon is the mastermind . it's just my speculation.
I thought he was behind it all since episode 1. It was just obvious to the point of blinding some people. I have not watched the episode yet, but I am convinced Gabriel IS the mastermind and maybe even the killer of the first victims.
I think that Gabriel and Yoon Jae might have been adopted by the Ryu family since they were together when they got caught by Baek when they escaped from the Center. Yoon Jae and Sung Joon were playing together when Sung Joon called Gabriel “hyung” — then Yoon Jae pushed Sung Joon. I think the parents might have sent Yoon Jae back to the adoption Center or something, but were not sure about the oldest, so they might have thought that it was “too late”, and decided to keep him. YJ has many reasons to hate SungJoon: he didn’t help him when he saw him behind bars (although he was a child!), and “stole” his hyung from him. ALSO, yesterday, Chief Yeom said that Judge Ryu had been involved in what Yoon Jung went through (not to be specific)… So one more reason? (I think)
