TTJ is basically playing double agent & pretents to be demon god. Trying to make LSS hate him, so she can forget him. TTJ will sacrifice himself as he didn't want to burden LSS anymore. He trys to awaken her power as God so she can kill him. He knows that whatever good he does, world will always hypocritically blame him.
