I think their potentials actually a way to hide their insecurities/weakness. For example, Claire is always bothered with what people think of her. Punn(father)/Wave(everyone)-they didn’t gave a damn no matter how good Punn/Wave were. Pang actually wants people to listen to him. Mon is actually the best example as it was explained in her episode that she was really not good at any physical activities
