Surprisingly wholesome for a movie about BDSM
I went into *Love and Leashes* expecting something much more scandalous, but what I got was actually a surprisingly sweet and wholesome romance wrapped in a BDSM storyline.The movie does a great job of introducing BDSM without treating it as something shameful or inherently weird. Instead, it focuses a lot on **trust, communication, boundaries and consent**, which I really appreciated. The relationship between Ji Hoo and Ji Woo is awkward, hilarious, and genuinely cute at times.
Ji Woo's reactions throughout the movie had me laughing because she basically goes through the five stages of *“what the hell am I supposed to do with this information?”* 😂 Meanwhile, Ji Hoo is somehow both incredibly confident and painfully awkward at the same time.
The chemistry between the leads worked really well for me. Their relationship develops in a way that feels more about learning to understand each other than simply being attracted to each other.
I also really enjoyed the humor. There are plenty of moments that could have easily become uncomfortable or overly sexual, but the movie often turns them into comedy instead. It makes the whole thing much easier to watch.
Is it perfect? Definitely not. Some parts felt rushed, and I would have loved more time exploring their relationship and characters. The ending also left me wanting just a little more.
But overall, it was a fun, charming and unexpectedly wholesome watch.
**Would I recommend it?** Yes, especially if you want something different from the usual romance formula.

Age of Youth is definitely one of those dramas that hits differently each time you watch it.
"Age of Youth" (also known as Hello, My Twenties!) is a Korean drama that aired in 2016, followed by a second season in 2017. The affair was just the beginning… and then everything got complicated.
I honestly didn’t know what to expect going into *The Affair Was Just the Beginning*, but this drama completely pulled me in.The title already tells you that things are going to get messy, but what I really enjoyed was how the story goes beyond the affair itself. It’s about attraction, complicated feelings, secrets, jealousy, and the consequences of getting involved with someone when you know you probably shouldn’t.
The chemistry between the characters was definitely one of the highlights for me. There are so many moments where you can feel the tension without the characters even saying much. And just when you think you understand where the story is going, it manages to throw another complication at you.
That said, this is definitely **not a drama where everyone makes good decisions** 😂. There were moments when I was literally sitting there thinking, *“PLEASE, just communicate for once.”* Some of the characters frustrated me, but at the same time, that frustration kept me invested because I needed to know what they were going to do next.
I also liked that the drama doesn't simply treat the affair as a romantic fantasy. There are emotional consequences, messy relationships, and difficult choices, which made the story feel more interesting than a simple forbidden-romance plot.
Overall, it was a messy, dramatic and addictive watch. It definitely had me emotionally invested, even when I wanted to scream at the characters.
**Would I recommend it?** If you enjoy complicated relationships, forbidden romance, jealousy, emotional chaos and characters who make questionable decisions… absolutely. 😂

Won Ji-an delivers a solid female lead performance. She begins as cold and self-sufficient but slowly reveals a deeper emotional side. She even won the Excellence Award at the KBS Drama Awards for this role.

The comedy is one of the show’s strongest aspects: Woo-hyeol is amazed by modern technology—like kiosks and smartphones—and his reactions are genuinely funny.
