I really find this series lovable as the main characters are. My review of this series is so far as how I am entertained. This is a series, non-fiction and it's up to the viewers to enjoy. If we take all things serious and try to relay them in reality, then we shouldn't be entertained anymore. While I respect others opinion on here...let us go and remind ourselves that this is a show and not reality. If we want bitter reality..then we should just watch documentaries. ✌️
Many hated the ending..including myself. It was a realistic choice..yes. I just couldn't take Na's actions in this last episode. And I would say many hated the ending because JingJing and Jan is so good together that it spoiled the fun. Anyhow, waiting for their next full GL series. The 3 episodes thou was good on this series. The ending is the only let down.
I just started watching the show...didn't even know this existed until some clips are shown on Tiktok that made me see this series. The plot is a good one, the chemistry is plausible. But for a series that has 8 episodes only, and the lovestory just comes around to episode 5..I wonder how the story would evolve. It's just feeling wasteful for series like this that are quite good, but prolly the producers are testing waters and not want to go all in with the cost. The fact that WeTV took them compared to other GL series that are only shown on Youtube but went all in with the production. This series is already giving...it's really good even if there more comedic stunts than the lovestory. But with just those few scenes of Dai and Jane...its already giving. I really hoped they didn't have it for just 8 episodes.
WARNING: If you have experienced cheating while you are being so stupidly kind...this 4 part episode will TRIGGER you. I though enjoyed watching it since this is real life situation. The character Fon is also so pretty for a 38 yr old woman. She could pass and do another GL for matured genre WLW.
I personally feel that this series is a clear representation of a straight girl falling in love with the same gender. I have been waiting for this kind of GL where the opposite is either straight or both of them were straight and just fell in love. It does happen in real life that people meet in bars, being comfy with each other, being friends and denying the fact that they are actually in love. Something happens, and just try to sneak out in the morning. For a straight girl, you can't just accept that something different happened to you overnight, hence the reaction. This kind of plot is something I hope we can find in GL series, rather than watching a typical GL series where all characters are gay/ lesbian.
I was so sure that the best love scene of the year for me goes to Player...now that Clairebelle is about to finish, I started watching it now and I would say...Clairebelle hits the top spot of the best love scene this year. It's overflowing with love scene in every episode in a way that it was sweet and artistically done. This series is not one of those GL that are just trying to be an eye candy. I'm also not fond of dark them GL series, but this one is surprisingly amazing and distinctive. You can easily see how the production was made first-class. The acting was top tier, even if one of the main leads had her first acting role. This shows that no production company is small that can't afford to make a great GL series. And also shows that No new actor can't be blamed for poor acting, because it ALL CAN BE DONE. 👐
I just felt this episode was okay but not great. I was hoping that Ploy and Pun could have an exchange of dialogue. Instead we see more of Pun stating her feelings while Ploy is still being her usual COLD self. I felt that Pun should have not given that easily to Ploy. We saw Ploy POV last week and was amazing. I was hoping this episode would show Ploy's vulnerable self to Pun and in that way there is a depth of forgiveness and so it would make sense that Pun can forgive her that easily. I was really waiting for that exchange of dialogue to show both their vulnerability.
Don't we all just love this kind of pacing where every characters POV is explained and not rushed. Now there are more people on this board and on tiktok who'd fight if Ploy is really a red flag or she's just a damaged woman. Watched btw on Iqiyi and youtube. The difference is Iqiyi shows a few more screen time for the following week compared to Youtube. So we know Ploy is in New York and Pun was surprised to see her.
Have you seen Player for how they cry there? I can definitely say their eyes acting and crying senses are comparable…
Absolutely 💯. PLAYER is sooo underrated. That's what I'm saying, was it Memi (Pun)'s first acting role as well..but why could she deliver. She was crying with her eyes and not with her face.
I honestly feel cheated on this show. The series was interesting at first, great in the middle but was a huge let down in the end. If the actors weren't really just pretty...I would believe this series would have not been popular to rhe audience. Let's be honest, this series is more about the actor's look than the story itself. The ending was rushed, crying was so pushed like all scenes were just focused on Prem crying-which we all know that she was heartbroken. The acting as far as crying was sorry but a bad acting. Crying does not have to be looking like your face was frowning but how you express crying in your eyes. Like how Film and Namtan did the crying scene in Pluto..that's how you cry. The ending was not believable for me that the parents just accepted Pat,there is no depth. Also not believable that Prem cried without really knowing if Pat died..just so her parents said so. I could not find myself rewatching the show again because of the let down of this series. Again I would stand with my opinion that if the actors weren't really just all good looking..this series does not deserve the spotlight.
I hope this series get more attention. Another episode tonight that did not dissapoint. The acting and pacing of the story is great. The actors acting skills were showcased but it did not eat up the time showing them crying and conveying emotions like other GL series. It is good because they gave the viewers chance to feel the emotion but not get bored in a particular scene. I am watching 3 GL's which came the same time as Player; Love design, dangerous queen and poisonous love. And of all, Player is what I root for. Poisonous Love was great in the middle but it kind of lost me at the ending when I felt the series was rushed and though the acting was so so..the only thing that made me watch it is that the actors were really pretty. Dangerous love thou is good, but the chemistry wasn't there, and again another rushed to end series. Love design whilst a lot loved it, was the most boring one for me. There is no thrill, no conflicts, and I didn't even feel how the characters fell in love. Player stood out for me because even others like series that doesn't have conflicts, that makes the story real. The jealousy, the misunderstanding, the who's who, the third party..let's be honest that happens in real life. And I guess without those, how would love prevail and so is a good series.
I lowk agree it is a waste for TK's talent Nur can't even cry properly😭
Haha! Thanks for agreeing. Don't you just hate it when watching something good and someones spoils it. TK's acting is superb and her eyes speak a lot. Some still want Nur as her partner and say there is chemistry, but really they are just blinded because TK is lifting the scenes.
I hope she really makes a comeback. Before there were those RomCom queens, she was the first. Queen. Imagine she made all those classic films/ series that hit internationally, like 100 Pounds Beauty and Accidental Couple. Even her song Ave Maria is still sung in bars and concerts today. But because of a tax scandal that hit her years ago, her career was idled. The woman can act, sing and is just wonderful.
Just want to say you nailed it on your first acting role as Queen in Dangerous Queen. You deserve to be praised as you did your homework very well! I just hope in your next series you get another partner other than Nul.
This series has a lot of potential to make it big; the disappointment is the low-budget production, which obviously squeezed it to 8 episodes, so there wasn't much emotional attachment from the viewers. And the biggest factor as well is the actress Bonita, who, if I may be honest, did not do her homework. I understand that she is still new, but compared to Queen, who was exceptional in her acting. Bonita does not know how to convey emotions, can't cry, and can't even kiss properly! What a waste of talent for Queen, who did not get a partner that suits her talent. Try to give Queen the actor another partner and I am sure she will make it big in the GL industry.
Agree on you with that! it is Ploy's pride that is eating her. This series is really enjoyable, I just hoped that…
Agree too! There's not much competitor to be honest. But for me the best of all love scene crown still goes to BLANK. So far nothing has encompassed them.
