NDS has been written as passive but I wouldn’t say he is a glorified Yes Man. He likes Dal Mi and of course you would want to see the person you like succeed with you as well. So he is being supportive and believes in her ideas. He put his trust in her as you should when you are part of a team.

He did write the letters with sincerity, it was probably like writing a dairy for him. But he didn’t even remember what he wrote to her, ie his birthday wish. He didn’t even remember Dal Mi or the letters until he saw Grandma again and she reminded him.
I see a lot of hate about Do San lying and using Dal Mi and I’m wondering if you guys are even watching the same drama.
This whole situation started with a lie created by Grandma with the help of HJP. HJP wanted to continue that lie as a favour to Grandma and brought Do San into the situation where he has voiced many times that he feels uncomfortable with it and feels that Dal Mi should know the truth.
HJP didn’t even remember who Dal Mi was and had no feelings for her until he saw that Do San was getting attention from Dal Mi.
Also, I don’t see how Do San is using Dal Mi to help himself. Everything he has done so far and been on his own merits. He got into Sandbox himself, it was his idea for the visual impaired app (yes it was inspired by Grandma), he even tried to settle the charges on his own. He has never asked Dal Mi for help (remember she was the one that asked to be their CEO).
I like HJP but his character is a lot more selfish and insincere than Do San. Do San believes, supports and values Dal Mi and his heart and intentions has always been true and pure.
