Officially, none. Rumour has it CJ ENM and/or Studio Dragon did not give them permission to stream episodes online (live or otherwise).
Illegally … not sure. And even if I know where, I won't share because … well … it is illegal here in the Philippines, I don't want to get into legal troubles. :P
Since Start-Up PH was produced in collaboration with CJ ENM and Studio Dragon--which means they guided and approved the script, then it is possible the it is also canon.
If Start-Up PH is canon then:
I. SUPH ep1: explained that "Sandbox PH" - is the Philippine branch of "Sandbox" (Korea) - the inspiration for Sandbox came from the Philippines (this was never mentioned in the original series); so "Sandbox PH" is like "the idea coming back home"
Comment: In the original series, if I remember correctly, they did say that "Sandbox" was inspired by start-up incubator programs common in Western countries; and the kid. If the connection between the two series was approved by the Rightsholders of the franchise, then it means the idea for "Sandbox" goes far back. Interesting twist.
II. A spin-off sequel - It's a "sequel" because "Sandbox PH" is a branch of "Sandbox" Korea; opened later after the Korea's success. - It's a "spin-off" because it doesn't involve any of the original characters; a different series entirely.
III. Also a remake - Since the main story is identical (even the scenes and wardrobes are similar) -- as far as what was revealed.
Well, it is possible to have an identical parallel story, it has been done a lot of times in stories which are set in the same universe. This is no different. What I am curious about is how far did CJ ENM and Studio Dragon allowed or decided the connection with the original series; and will it affect the original series in any way if they decide to create a direct sequel?
In any case, more will probably be revealed in the coming episodes and how exactly Start-Up PH is connected to the original Start-Up.
There are a lot of fans asking for an OTT service, unfortunately there is no information if there will ever be one on an official basis.
There are also a lot of non-Filipino audiences asking for an English subtitle, sadly it is probably not part of the licensing agreement (and providing an English subtitle is not a common practice in the Philippines).
As per the #SUPHWorldPremiere, "Sandbox PH" is the Philippine branch of "Sandbox" (from the original series). This effectively made "Start-Up PH" a "spin-off sequel" as well as a remake (the story is identical, even scenes and wardrobes).
Poor kid. Turned evil. With a wife plotting something else. Then they'll eat each other out … I mean, kill each other.
Meanwhile, those caught in the middle are trying to find ways to expose everyone, only later to discover the people they are trying to expose are on the same side as them. So they will make a truce to bring down their common enemy.
But by bringing down their common enemy, their temporary truce is over so they need to be prepared for the other party as well. Which later ended up them killing each other until only their kids are left.
I can't tell to which character(s) "Blind" is referring to.
1. Sung Joon = being blind to his past 2. Sung Joon = being blind to the past of the people connected to the case 3. Sung Joon = being blind that he has another personality and is actually the suspect 4. Sung Hoon = being blind even though there are clues Sung Joon is the suspect 5. Sung Hoon = "turning a blind eye" to protect his brother 6. Everyone being blind that there is someone else doing the killings and they're suspecting the wrong people. 7. The audience being blind when the killer was already revealed in plain sight in episodes 1 and 2.
That ending scene was so disturbing. Why did she apologize? Her boyfriend did not even bother to ask what happened to her that day, she could've been molested or raped, and her jerk of a ex-boyfriend only thinks about himself and justifies his actions.
You know it's Korean fantasy when there is an old woman selling old stuff on the streets, overpass, underpass, and speaks about times of old. And then … boom … a miracle.
