The politics in this show is of "Jang Geum" and "Jumong" level. I love where this is going.

CHECKMATE hahahaha.

Title Bloody Heart Spoiler
Will she be the queen or a concubine?
Based on the preview, she'll be the queen.

1. It was her destiny.
2. Councilor Park doesn't know her real identity, as far as he is concerned, he is using her to keep the king under his thumb
3. The king would never let her be a concubine, because she'll still answer to whoever will be the queen and that means she'll be in danger.
4. If she becomes a concubine, Councilor Park doesn't need her anymore. The king won't be able to protect her.

But again, things can go the opposite. She might end up a concubine. Councilor Park might still find her useful regardless and will protect her. It might also be to the king's advantage if she's a concubine because then they can both work separately in taking revenge.

I like it so far but I also wonder what Disney+ is thinking with their selection of kdramas tho? First the controversial…
Simply marketing.

They want to make their streaming service known in an industry where Netflix and Asian services like iQiYi and Viu, are the dominant players. The best way to do that is to invest in high profile titles with provocative plots. It will not only generate curiosity, it guarantees that people will talk about it.

Most people doesn't realize that Disney is very powerful politically. It's why they dare pick these stories, they are not afraid of keyboard warriors. Those brands who breach their contracts because of keyboard warriors? They better not do that with Disney-invested projects.

It's really amazing SoKor keyboard warriors are still thinking they can still get what they want. It really shows how big of a fool they are. You don't mess with Disney. Look at Snowdrop. Anyone familiar with Disney knows it was them behind the bravery of Snowdrop and going after everyone.

So, yeah, Disney will continue investing in such projects. They want people to talk about them. They want people to keep seeing their logo. They want people to know that they are all-powerful.

I would not even be surprised if the capitalist companies afraid of keyboard warriors are the ones who convinced Disney to enter their market. LOLs.

I loved the many layers of her character. She’s a successful woman and usually that means serious and strict;…
Yep, it's like she's touching on her inner kid, things she never did and never would've done back then. It was all natural, not exaggerated just right.
On It's Beautiful Now May 10, 2022
Shin Dong Min is very funny. She made her character very likable and funny, it's as if her character is a teenager. All her outbursts, facial reactions, and dialogues, are so cute. She clearly shows, as an actor and her character, that people over 40 are like kids too. I love that instead of the usual "too serious because we're 40+".

The planning is amazing. They timed episode 11 and 12 to coincide with Mother's Day and wrote a two-part episode about a mother and her son. Not only that, if I remember correctly, this was the first two-part episode story in the series.

While the series is about death, suicide, pain, and learning ways to comfort people (and possibly prolong their lives), they do not forget to write stories about the living and how hard yet still beautiful life is.

In a way, they are using death to make a statement about life and why we should continue living despite the bad things that we encountered and will encounter. If we look at each story, it is actually inspiring. As most say, "healing".

This is the kind of shows I love to watch. Not only because it is rare these days but more because it is not about entertaining the audience rather it is about piercing our souls, to make us think, to analyse, to learn to put ourselves in other people's shoes, to look at things from different perspectives, and experience it without literally going through it.

Maybe, and hopefully, it shapes us, the audience, in becoming better people and learn value every single life, even those who hurt us. No wealth in the universe can ever equal to a single human life.

Just a friendly advise: you should open a blog or submit an opinion column in various news websites / newspapers, even in Korea.

That is the only way you will get their attention.

Ranting here won't do anything against the stereotype.

Yep. Hopefully the Korean market is head-over-heels for her like we do. It's the best way to get more projects.

Also, it's not uncommon or impossible for a newbie to be talented. There are many others before her who did well with their debut, film at that (films are much harder than TV).

It's not something we see everyday, sure, but it's not uncommon and not impossible.

I don't want to add another in my already long list of on-going shows because I can no longer keep up and still have to do work … but it's KANG HAN NA!

And it's been a while since I last watched a serious period drama.

The underlying message of the first 4 episodes is this: Don't judge the book by its cover.
