I loved the scene where the FL and ML butt heads about the eviction case. Both of their perspectives were founded…
It was the best scene in E02 for me. And considering the other restaurant guests were lawyers too and they were listening, made it realistic (instead of the usual "other guests are annoyed" scene)โthey were nodding their heads and all that.
The ML sees the ripple effects, the bigger picture. While the FL sees the effect on a specific case/family, living in the moment.
Both indeed are valid and not something that can be balanced because the law is binary, there is no middle ground (at least in this particular case).
I understand your comments and agree to it. I created this acct to find like-minded people to discuss drama but…
True!
Recently, there were shows were good discussions started, but when the rude (and often "fake" accounts) started leaving their usual comments, I stopped checking the comments since it's always them, and the real discussions got buried or invaded.
Yeah, despite MDL's flaws, it still is a good place to discuss shows. We just need tools to filter out rude and troll accounts (like removing the limit on the block feature).

Yes, nothing wrong with actually bad writing or acting. But more often than not, the rude comments were coming from a personal fantasy of how the story should be or.how they should act their characters.
Like in some shows, there were characters which were written to be like a wall. And the actor was suddenly branded as not knowing how to act. Luckily, the other audiences defended the show. ๐ Sadly, these accounts seem to be dominating these days. I'm starting to think that those who also love discussions either left or stopped reading comments, gave up already. ๐ญ

I have a Twitter account but I rarely check it. I primarily use Plurk, Fediverse, Bluesky, and sometimes Threads.
Hmmโฆ in the times I posted Kdrama reactions on Twitter, I haven't so far gotten the crazy group. It's in the Kpop scene that I encounter them. ๐ They're too overprotective to see things objectively (in one incident, I was even accused of being a fake IU fan, and I told them she won me as a fan when she debuted when all others laughed at her, it shut them up lols).
I'm suspecting she's the biological daughter of FL's adoptive mother.Something happened, they got estranged. Then…
Another possibility is she was a former trainee. She got greedy or was rejected by the General. Now, she wants to.prove herself and take revenge against all shamans.
Then the FL was adopted and now has the potential to be the next subject of the General.
It's similar to the Shogou Amakusa arc in Rurouni Kenshin. The former pupil failed, harboured ill feelings, and planned a long game of proving himself the best as well as revenge. Meanwhile, his former master found a new successor, a kid, and adopted him.
LOL. Careful with such expressions. If they do disappear, you might become a suspect because of your comment.…
Hmm, if they request extradition, it's a free trip and lodging to Korea. ๐ Then show them all the proof you prove your innocence once you're there. ๐
I understand your comments and agree to it. I created this acct to find like-minded people to discuss drama but…
Yep, it's fine. But it's crossing-the-line if it's rude, like the most common one "The writer should never be allowed to write again" (and its variations), or the spam against a certain actor.
And with MDL's block feature limited to 50(?) accounts, it's impossible to block all the fake accounts. (I don't even understand why there's a limit to the block feature.)
And yeah, I agree. If you present a different approach or angle, suddenly you're a troll. No amount of civilised wording works. Like, if you want to leave your piece in a public forum, then obviously others can say their piece too. But nope, they'll shut you down and wave the misused "I have a right to my own opinion" flag. ๐
The odd thing is, you rarely see it in other communities. In most other communities, and of course the ones I've experienced, everyone welcomes various angles. It sparks discussions and makes the community lively.
MDL used to like that. I like it hear despite the flaws of MDL because it's more global, and ages varies too. We are so diverse here which is good. But sadly, it seems the real trolls outnumbered the good citizens. ๐ ๐ ๐
Many do have valid complaints, however the majority take up more MDL space. What they fail to realize is they're…
Ooh, I wasn't aware it's that bad. I generally avoid leaving comments in Cdramaland because I noticed that before, but not to that extent. ๐ฎ
Yeah, viewers should not rate a show because one's fave actors are there. For one, it's a disservice to the rest of the prod team. It's like telling them, "your story is actually bad but the actors saved you".
Nothing wrong with doing it once-in-a-while, especially if the show is being attacked by anti-fans. But doing it every single time, like, "slow down! This is about the show not one or two actors." ๐
In addition, the actor wouldn't know they need to improve if they always see good ratings. They also wouldn't know a particular role or genre isn't for them. Their managers often filter what they see for their mental health. If it's always a 10/10, the managers won't have anything to report.
(Then again, if they're wise, it should be a red flag if every project results in positive feedback.)
The handmaiden of a wife can even give her handmaiden to her husband for whatever reason. (That was the original meaning of "mistress".)
Basically, all spouses must agree to welcome another. That is the only way it will work, regardless if it is polygamy, polyandry, or polygyny. And mature adults respects if their spouse don't like it. If they don't, then that is cheating.
In some cultures, it is the spouse who suggests it to the other. Example, a wife tells her husband to take in another wife (or vice versa). It is not the husband who tells the wife "I want another wife" (or vice versa), because then it is "lust" or "legalizing cheating". Those cultures sure knows what they're doing and how to handle it properly. Truly mature adults.
While I don't agree with polygamy and polyandry, it isn't "cheating" at all. Polygamous and polandry relationships are created by adults who understands the binding relationship they are entering into. They do take oaths too.
No one is forced. And a polygamous or polyandry relationship isn't built/made through cheating like how dramas portray them to be. That's different, if one spouse never agreed to it, then the other is a "mistress" (as the word is used today, it means differently centuries earlier).
Lastly, it's unfair to call it "cheating" just because your culture is different from another culture. There are cultures, even in the B.C.E. era where it is not uncommon. (Meaning, it is not widespread but you'll see such set up โ of the time.)
The ones that actually established strictly monogamous relationships was the Roman Empire, and they forced it on Roman Citizens. Then the Roman Catholic Church took over from the Roman Empire.
There's no way I'm waiting a week. I have to go to South Korea and kidnap the actors and ask them about the next…
LOL. Careful with such expressions. If they do disappear, you might become a suspect because of your comment. ๐ When things get serious, the law and authorities don't care if you were simply expressing yourself. ๐
Love this review, because change makes more impact when it happens from within. Youโll love episode 5 and 6,…
The cliffhanger! ๐
But yeah, love it! It shifted more towards being human and how we can stand make a stand if we want to. I also like how it was emphasized that believing matters, not just to the supernatural but to people.
The importance of belief in ourselves and the people around us, is what makes us able to channel our own abilities aside from the supernatural. Nothing will happen if we don't believe because we are opposing it.
Ironically, quantum physics has also proven that belief matters because it is what shapes our reality. Even in other branches of science like how our words have powers (proven with talking to plants) can bring life or death. Which E05 and E06 demonstrated as well.
The writer is really good. The director also knows how to frame the scenes to make it impactful. It's more about the messages they want to tell us than anything else.
YiHyun's acting is really so lovely. I'm missing my high school days. Her girlfriend-material acting and expressions is reminding me of the days when we're all about school relationships. All those sweet nothings. Jokes. Rivalries.
I hope she'll do more projects with this girlfriend material image before she moves away from it. Even in AOUAD, she's girlfriend material. โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ Sigh. The good ol' days. High school lifi is really the best part of our lives.
The current push, as far as I know, by Korea's cunture of ministries and the Global Kculture department (I can't remember their official names but you get the idea), is Korean food. So, I guess it explains why this series is frequently about them eating. ๐
I mean, they created a character who's an expert in finding the best places to eat. And a character who is a food vlogger. It is as much as about food as it is about them being lawyers.
I wouldn't be surprised if the secret scheme of the building owner has something to do with food too. ๐
It's hard to figure out ages based solely on what level of schooling they were at because not everyone goes to…
Same. Until they hinted anything of their character's age, I just assume it's similar to the actors' or at least the gap are if not the age itself.
The tricky part is whenever they use makeup to make them look younger. ๐ But I'm glad they're doing it less, and are now hiring real young actors instead.
The ML sees the ripple effects, the bigger picture. While the FL sees the effect on a specific case/family, living in the moment.

We'll see if it changes in the next episodes, but very good point!

Something happened, they got estranged. Then she eventually was tricked by an evil spirit that wants to ascend as a g-d.
If it is the usual trope, she wants to be the heir of the General but she failed and was rejected completely. She then left.
The General then have to find a new heir, and the FL was adopted.
